Extremely comfortable and your toes will love you
I used these shoes extensively over the last 3 months, and have been hesitating to write a review. I bought them at a massive discount and was expecting something to go terribly wrong. I hiked some very challenging mountain routes, took them on numerous leg days at the gym and drove around in them a lot.Initially, I noticed that the glue job was the worst I had seen in any of my other shoes, I could see blobs coming out from seams. But this seems to be cosmetic and not have affected the shoes. They are very breathable and have a wide toebox, very comfy. The sole is thin but doesn't hurt to walk on rocks in them. The zigzag pattern on the sole makes them rather grippy.I have since, for the first time with any of my shoes (and admittedly this might be my fault) experienced them "going off". They gained an unbearable smell, and I have just handwashed them and put them through a short and spinless washing machine cycle. They stopped for a few days, but have just began to smell again. Perhaps a soaking in a mild disinfectant would fix it, I don't know. As I've said, I've never had this happen before.Since the cycle, very fine threads from loops holding the laces in place have began coming off, but it's a minor cosmetic issue. Will try to update regarding their durability and function.

Great but slightly tight
Having a pair of the Vapor6 shoes for working out - which I love - I though I'd try these for daily wear. They are a tighter fit and so I feel a bit of relief taking them off. I though they'd stretch and they have a little but still not as comfortable as the Vapor 6.

Good but..
These are decent barefoot shoes but they are quite narrow more so than any barefoot shoe I have tried and the sole will pick up anything and everything especially if you’re walking over grass.I use these for running on tarmac or the beach. However I think I’ll put them away for emergencies and fine a wife doing shoe instead.

Excellent
I was looking for a long distance minimalist running shoe. I do a majority of my miles on trails and in vibram five fingers, but have been experimenting with other shoes for 20 mile runs and over. Did a recent 55 mile race in a pair of altra superiors and whilst they were ok, I found them a little heavy and inflexible.Have so far only run up to 11 miles in these trail gloves but cant see how there would be any issues with longer runs. You know shoes are good when you simply forget that you have new shoes on whilst you're running.I've had previous version of trail gloves but these seem more comfortable with a nice balance of protection and ground feel. Of course you don't get the same ground feel that you would with a pair of five fingers or vivos but if I'm out running all day, I don't want that level of ground feel.Have found the grips just about adequate on really wet muddy trails (as you can see from the treads, you're not going to get super grippyness in mud). Have run through deep puddles with them and the shed water pretty well.Overall, I really enjoy running in these. They offer a little bit of protection against sharp stones etc, whilst maintaining a zero drop, wide toe box, flexibility and being super lightweight. At the moment I think I'll be wearing these for my upcoming longer runs and maybe even 100 milers.

Great fit v comfy smart look
Great ‘barefoot feel’ and very comfortable. Added some coloured lace with reflective strip running through it to give them a lift but looked equally good in the laces they arrive with

Worn in 2 months
Used to walk dog and general wear around town under 200 miles walked mostly thus on tarmac and Im like others seeing grip in places gone - Whilst barefoot walking has helped my feet no end I wont be replacing them with like model if I have to replace every 2 months.Update 26 Nov - So I carried on wearing them ( so an additional 2.5 months since last review) and oddly they seem to have stopped wearing down, seems its just the grip part that seems to wear quickly - I was expecting them to fall apart pretty quickly but still wearing every day and the wear hasn't got really much worse so putting back one start for now - will carry on till they drop as such.

The closest feeling next to bare footing it.
I bought these shoes, due to looking for a lightweight, breathable barefoot shoe that didn’t suck. I definitely got what I wanted, well fitting ( Amazon was correct in my sizing) this has been the most comfortable barefoot experience I’ve had in years. Great stuff, well worth the price.

Favorite trail shoe when worn without socks
Pros: incredible, mountain goat like traction and support with minimal bulk while allowing you to feel the ground. Heel is not overly rigid so can be worn without a layer between heel and shoe. Breathable, functional when wet. Thick supportive upper material that gives firm support but while remaining breathable. Bottom of sole very protective so you will not feel small rocks or roots despite being a zero drop minimalist shoe.Cons: a little snug, especially in toe box. Could be wider without allowing foot to slide around. A little abrasive on top of foot near toes if wearing barefoot (some irritation above 4/5th metatarsal with prolonged use after getting wet). Not very water resistance.Perfect use: short hikes or trail runs on easy to moderate terrain, especially if rocky versus wet/ muddy. Do very well on rocks. Better for runners who foot strike directly underneath.. not a lot of heel cushioning if that's what you need.

finally they fixed the Trail Glove in version7!
They fixed the issues with this shoe from previous 5 and 6 and I am really pleased with the way it feel. It is my new all-about shoe now. As usual it fits a little small - I wear normally US9 but had to buy US8.5 for perfect fit

Great fit, incorrect sizing
Ordered these on sale, sold by amazon. Own tens of pairs of Merrell and my only shoe brand nowadays, all size 42 for urban and barefoot models and 43 for running, hiking and winterboots. These were wrongly advertised by Amazon as 42.5? Which is a non existant sizing in the merrell sizing chart. As they were almost 50% off, I gambled. They were delivered this morning in sizing 41.5/26cm! Luckily as many reviews suggested this model runs BIG! My feet measure 25.4cm and as such I take sizings 1.2 to 1.5cm bigger for my Merrell shoes. This in size 41.5 reference 26cm but they run bigger then some of my Merrell winter boots in 43/27cm! Even with socks I still got a tumb width spacing in front of them! Besides the sizing hick up by Merrell and for this pair also by Amazon, they look and feel great. Lightweight, airy for this summer and a bit thicker sole than my vapor gloves 3 and 6s. Arch support similar to my trail glove 5s. Width is similar to my many vapor and trail gloves and OK for normal feet. The wear and tear which seems terrible on concrete in many reviews, we will have to discover in the next months.

Too long
Liked the fit for my normal foot. My size for running shoes is US 8.5/42/26.5. So bought my usual size. Way too long unfortunately, so I returned them and planned to buy 41.5 instead, only to find out that the price had gone up with 400sek. Will be keeping an eye on the pricepoint. These shoes has nothing that justifiess a price of 1200sek. It’s just a simple shoe with no revolutionary tech. But it’s a good shoe if you find the right size at a reasonable price.
