Does the job
If I can't buy British I prefer anything but Chinese (usually due the poor build quality). So I bought this American nut cruncher. It took yonks to arrive and seemed very flimsy on unpacking. You can rotate in either direction dependant on whether you want coarse or more finely broken nuts. Breaks them into nice small pieces without turning them into a fine powder you have scrape of the machine (I'm looking at you electric Duronic nut mill...). It's not going to win any design or technology awards but it does exactly what it says on the tin. Thumbs up.

Pieces break off
I had one of these for about two years and it worked well until a sharp piece of plastic broke off the inside and ended up in my mouth. Thinking that two years is perhaps the working life-span of a plastic nut grinder, I ordered another one in June. Now, after only three months, I found another sharp piece of plastic in my mouth. See image attached. Swallowing sharp plastic is potentially dangerous so I have to give this item only one star.

Cracks and might injure you
I've had this for 8 months and now a piece of plastic cracked off, fell into my musli and nearly broke my tooth! I always looked after it well, never put it in the dishwasher, never dropped it, only used it once a week. It was nice while it lasted but won't buy it again as the risk of injury is too high!

DOES NOT GRIND NUTS ENOUGH
This machine is a great idea but flimsy and a more expensive version should be on offer. On its fine setting about one third of the nuts are well ground and the rest just chopped into small pieces. Nice try but product needs more work and a sturdier body with a more accurate mechanism.

Adequate
I recently bought this to replace one of a different brand that had given great service over nearly a decade and had worn out. This version performs quite smoothly, but I have two major criticisms. First, the container is much too big: who needs to grind this quantity of nuts on a regular basis? The base is too wide and therefore takes up too much room on a shelf. Even more important, since inverting the grinder is part of the process of grinding, why on earth make the lid curved so that it is not possible to rest it on a flat surface as you grind? I am rather disappointed with this - but at least it does grind nuts.

Handle your nutjobs.
I use it to chop peanuts for the birds. Makes them nicely sized without all the powder I got using a stick blender. Also hazelnuts. Plastic body is sturdy and blade and handle seem strong. I’ve had it a few months and all’s well.

Good Nut Chopper
I like to grind a mixture of nuts to add to my breakfast muesli occasionally and to add to things like banana split. It works well. Turn the handle anti-clockwise for a finer grind. Recommended.

Chops too finely
I was hoping that this would chop nuts to leave fairly large chunks but even the coarse setting was too fine. It resulted in a mixture of dust and small pieces. Easy to use though if you want finely chopped nuts.
