Sleeper Sofa Bed Support Board Queen (60x48) - Heavy Duty Wood

This product does exactly what it is meant to do. The thickness of the reinforced wood boards, within the protective covering, make it impossible to feel the crossbars inside the sleeper frame. The product boards run perpendicular to the frame, and are easy to place/remove. The support board folds like a fan, making it easy to store, taking up little closet space. We experienced no sliding of the mattress on the protective cover. Between the two of us, about 400 pounds was on the bed, and both of us were comfortable. Would purchase again.

I can’t believe that something like this exists and that it actually works! We’re on our dogs bed temporarily while we move but my partner is wir a bit heavier than me so I was experiencing a lot of discomfort; sagging, feeling uneven, the feeling of rolling inwards. Night one on this thing and out sofa bed is 100x more comfortable and sturdy. This item is definitely worth it!

While I think these are best suited for occasional use of a saggy pull out sofa bed, they did make a significant improvement for a 30+ year old sleeper sofa. (Continuous use would warrant new springs and mattress, as the improvements were noticeable but modest.) I like how the board folds up to store under the sofa mattress, as the apartment this is in has minimal storage and sleeper sofas tend to fold up to within an inch or two of the floor. Since this particular sleeper sofa sags into the middle of the bed my wife and I were always rolling into the middle. This stiffening board helps some but since the folds are meant to be oriented top-to-bottom (versus side-to-side) there's still some of that sagging tendency. I was tempted to use the board 'sideways', but was afraid we'd break it... But it beats the cost of a single night in a hotel room!

This sofa bed board has provided me with unexpected comfort and back pain relief. As the 73 year old 24/7 female caregiver of my 80 year old disabled husband, I must sleep outside his room on a full-sized sofa bed, in case he needs my quick-care medical assistance. My year old sofa bed’s 3” gel mattress has been relatively comfortable, until recently. The underwire and mesh mattress support has begun to lose its firmness, since I am daily using the bed for sleep. I decided to order a twin size bed board instead of a full sized one, since I only sleep on one side of the sofa bed. This twin size board is easy to remove from the bed when I need to return the sofa to its regular couch configuration. The board is not intended to remain in the sofa bed when not in use. I then reduce the size of the bed board into its original 3 panel fold up position & store it nearly into a nearby vertical space. I must say that I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who makes periodic or regular use of a sofa bed & wishes to have increased mattress support. PS please make sure you measure your sofa bed and order the size appropriate for your usage.

I had large group of visitors during Christmas one had to use the pull out twin sofa bed ( not a cheap one ) knowing it’s hard to not feel the metal support bar even with a good mattress, I bought this in hopes it would help and per my son it worked! He has a bad back and said he slept well and back did not suffer . It is well made and folds it’s not as long as the bed but we moved it down a few inches to be able to support from shoulders down . Only bad thing is you have to pull it out if you want to fold bed back , but having a decent night sleep made up for a small inconvenience .

It's a good idea and it might work for some sofabeds but It did not make my sofabed more comfortable for guest and I am returning it.

This eliminated the spring wire effect under the mattress of our sofa bed. Our daughter-in-law has fibromyalgia and slept great. We were worried about her comfort and so pleased that she was very comfortable!

The product came as expected, it performs great. The only issue I experienced was that the silicone moisture control product part of the packaging was loose or perhaps broken and I had quite a mess to clean up and I was concerned I'd miss some and that it could potentially poison my animals. I keep finding it 2 weeks later. Again. Great product.

This was exactly the fix we needed for our older sleeper sofa. It provides much better support, and we no longer wake up with aching backs from the bar in the middle of the bed. Highly recommend it!

Very pleased with this item. Got it for a pull out couch for our summer home after having terrible back pain when sleeping on it. This worked great and really levelled out the pull out bed. Worth the buy.

The item fits nicely on the bed. It really does what it sets out to do. We're very satisfied.

This simple item makes all the difference to a softer mattress or foam mattress on a sofa bed. I wish there was a way it could fold into the sofa but that seems counterintuitive to its purpose. We simply will be storing it under the sofa when not in use. The wood(?) inside is firm but light weight enough. And the fabric sheathing seems rugged enough to last for years. My parents used to buy a plank of wood to give extra support to a sinking sofa and this is the same principle. I wouldn’t have kids jumping on the mattress? But I gave the new mattress along with this support board, a trial lie down and it’s 100% better feeling than the old mattress. I would recommend this option for every pullout sofa mattress needing some extra support.
