BUYBUYBUY!!! Both adults and children can learn from these booksets!!!
10 / 10, these book sets are AMAZING. From kids who struggle with confidence, positive thinking, over worrying, hitting and angry outbursts, it covers it all in such a simple, digestible way! I am 29 and my child is 7 and we BOTH learn something new in every single one of these books! They come equipped with identifying common internal issues, brainstorming solutions and ways to reflect in order to prevent emotional overload for happening in the future. In the back of some, they have a website you can go to in order to download free printable worksheets and posters that match the books theme and everything is so simple. At first I thought that $55 for a booklet was a little steep but now my mission is to purchase every set of the A Little Spot Booksets. Both my son’s therapists and school’s social workers recommended these books and have said they are used to help thousands of kids understand the emotions and changes that are going on inside of them, teaching emotional intelligence and empathy for themselves and others. If you haven’t already, buy the books, read them with your child and give both of your inner children a hug.

Smash the Patriarchy
Men have been terrorizing women and making our lives miserable for generations. This continues in large part due to extremely low emotional intelligence among men fueled by the patriarchy and toxic masculinity. Boys are told not to feel, not to express feelings, not to talk about feelings. Boys are harmed by this message and yet it persists. One of the most effective ways we can affect change is to empower our sons (and daughters too, obviously) with the tool of self-awareness and emotional regulation. Self-awareness and self-management are the basis for ALL other social skills: social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making. Without the foundation of these skills, boys will grow to lack self awareness and lack the ability to contain and regulate themselves. They won’t recognize the early signs of anger until they explode. They won’t recognize loneliness and sadness and hide it behind anger. They won’t know how to express themselves in ways that are safe and responsible and socially aware. In short, they will be socially dysfunctional and they will go on to perpetuate this dysfunction in their children because they assume that the way they behave is always correct (because they lack the ability to self-reflect). Teach your sons these essential skills before the world tells them that they shouldn’t have feelings or express them in safe ways.

The best books!
My daughter has ADHD and has trouble controlling her “big feelings.” She goes to her room, on her own and looks at these books. They are absolutely worth the price plus some. They are also used in an educational setting at schools. You won’t be disappointed and these will truly help your littles understand and develop feelings.

Great books for kids to learn!
Love these books! And my kids love them too! My kids ask a bunch of questions throughout and are really learning a lot. Let's be honest, so am I!

My second grade kid loves it…
Challenging my kids to read 100 books over 100 days at their respective grade levels is a challenge in and of itself. I picked these box sets after researching them. 1st set feelings and now 2nd set regulations. Combined with movies like inside out, it is considerably easier to help my second grader understand the feelings and now help that same person understand how to regulate those feelings. Not to mention that this kids vocabulary and expressions while reading these types of box sets increase but now the transition of helping them understand what is being read and how to regulate is not going to work for every child but at least it gives the child a foundation to help understand. Let’s face it, it is not just reading that provides the ability to understand; it’s the parents that really help shape their understanding. That said, this book provides a common ground to work together. Thanks for these

Great for teaching anyone about emotions
My family and I love these books. I think we have the whole series now but we started very early with them and now he is 5 and he talks about his emotion spots and it's really cool to see his progression in learning about his emotions.

All the scribble spot books are AMAZING
My 5yo really struggles with understanding and controlling his emotions. The “my first feelings” scribble spot book is the first book where he found himself able to talk about his feelings and explain how he was feeling using the spots during the day. When he was having trouble controlling his emotions when school started again we looked for a book to help with emotional regulation and found these. He’s so excited to read them, and honestly I think they’ll help my husband and myself as parents too since it’s always good to have reminders and good tools to use. These books are an A+ and were so thankful for them.

These books are amazing
Shipping and condition are great. My package did get lost but randomly showed up a few days later. My son was recommended to start Occupational therapy and these books were highly recommended. They come with fun activities in the back that you can print out and do. These books really help kids understand their emotions and the artwork is adorable.

An absolute God sent!
I cannot thank Diane Alber enough for sharing her work with the world. These books have helped my 4 year old son and myself so much! Easy to follow and understand. Fun ways to help recognise and regulate emotions! I 100% reccomend these books to anyone with kids! They should be in all early childcare centres and primary schools! Thank you Diane! 💗🙏
