I had shellac French polish put on my nails just before Christmas and they were starting to grow out and look unsightly. I prefer to have them done for special occasions and keep my nails strong and healthy. This tool is so handy! It comes in a small pouch (no box so less packaging) and has about 5 different heads. There are instructions for each one. It took about 30 minutes in total but it has fully removed all the shellac. You have to be gentle so as not to press too hard and damage your nails. I used 2 x Duracell AA batteries and found the power just right. I can only presume that other reviewers used rubbish batteries as this was the perfect speed to remove the 3 layers of shellac and varnish. The pouch is small and not bulky at all, so will fit perfectly in my drawer and the pen itself is comfortable to hold. Plus it is much cheaper than other alternatives. I prefer the battery operated pen as it uses up much less space than the usb charging ones, plus it worked much better than acetone. Also it will be a great tool for when my nails need filing or buffing!

It’s good for buffing and filing natural nails. However it’s very weak when trying to file polygel, acrylic, gel etc it practically does not work with those products. If you are buying it for the intended use of filing acrylics or polygel then it is not worth it.

Not powerful enough for my needs - as nail toes are very hard - but customer service was good

Does the job on top and edges and it’s really handy, but not really powerful if that’s what you need (takes ages to remove a thin coverage of gel polish)

Light weight & easy to use. Easy to install AA batteries & attachments size is good and easy to handle when doing own nails value for money as does what I need it to do

Although this tool is designed for several uses, I had ordered it specifically to reduce nail ridges. However, it had absolutely zero effect on this - and I would say they actually looked a bit more pronounced afterwards.Sadly, I have opted to return this item.

So much easier than using a regular nail file. This gets really into all corners and has multiple endings allowing for a perfect manicure/pedicure. Used this for over a year now and it’s still going strong, love it. I use rechargeable batteries to reduce waste, plus it’s a lot easier. When the batteries get low the device starts spinning slower and slower and becomes useless at such speed so need to recharge at this point. Overall would very much recommend this!

Oh I wish I'd read more of the reviews before I wasted my money. Cheap is, as cheap does springs to mind with absolute rubbish instructions that are impossible to see (as in my photo). You also have to figure out which way the batteries go in as there is no indication, at all! As for smoothing my nails, it doesn't and I have soft nails. I am so disappointed but at least I know now. Do not be fooled by the glossy photos on this ad, the instructions are an unclear black & white small bit of paper. Rubbish product!
