GarminEdge 540 Solar, Solar-Charging GPS Cycling Computer with Button Controls

Excellent connectivity. I use the unit on two different model bikes and have no trouble switching back and forth. Syncs with Bontrager Duotrap in seconds. GPS works well. Maps are easy to read. It takes some time to memorize the button functions. Occasionally I have trouble loading maps, but that might be an operator issue.

If you want a fitness watch for your bike this is for you it does that very well. I can’t knock the product in that regard it is an excellent fitness tracker. But if all you want is a gps to tell you how to get from point a to point b on rail trails and other off road route planning it is not very good. Great at tracking where you have been and all off the fitness tracking I formation. My cell phone and google maps still is still significantly faster, and easier to use than this particular product for route planning.

I also appreciate the training and performance metrics, which help me stay on track with my fitness goals.My only real gripe is the initial setup process—it felt a bit clunky and took longer than expected to get everything dialed in. Also, for the price, I would have liked to see a mount with more versatility included in the box.Still, the Edge 540 is a powerful tool for serious cyclists and definitely worth considering. Just be ready for a small learning curve.

Battery exceed my expectations, I can easily ride 100+ miles without charging.

I was having some problems with some features on my Garmin and reached out to customer service in. They were great at fixing the problem.. love how it works. I just wish when creating courses that you could put a marker in for food stops.

I bought this as my first bike computer and absolutely enjoy it! There are so many features but I resort to the basics. Great battery life and intuitive use during my rides.
