Finally a solution that works!!!
I tried several options to stop my wife and daughters hair from clogging the drain. None of them worked perfectly. We have/had a pop-up drain which severely limits our options. The domed covers would either not seal against the tub floor and hair would go under or hair might pass right thru the drain holes. It would then get caught on the cross bars that support the pop up. It got to the point I couldn't get the pop up loose due to corrosion on the cross bars and decided to try something different. I didn't want something that they have to put in place since that was one of our biggest battles. This solved that problem. As a drain plug, it isn't perfect but lore than adequate. A tub of water left overnight will drain out but it is fine for a little soak or kids bath time. Since it replaces the pop up and you remove it from the drain regularly to clean it, we don't have build up anymore! This has made everyone much happier - especially me.My only complaint is it doesn't hold the stopper very tight. It will eventually slide down and water will begin filling the tub while taking a shower. It doesn't happen all the time and the benefits outweigh this minor annoyance.

It catches my long hair pretty well and it does stop the drain
It catches my long hair pretty well and it does stop the drain. It DOES slow the drain a little bit like other reviews have mentioned especially when it’s got a lot of hair. But that’s face it, all nice hair stoppers slow the drain a little bit. Just make sure you clean it regularly and it won’t be a problem. But there is a problem though. It will close itself when you hit it with water. That really bothers me a lot! Don’t buy it if you can’t stand this. I didn’t return it because I’v tried a few different 2-in-1 stopper and this is the best I can find for now. So I just use a toothpick to hold it and remove the toothpick when I want to close it.

Great If You Have Separate Bathtub
Stopper closes almost to easy. Shower spray can cause it to close but if you have a separate tub and shower it is great. The tub does not drain as fast because of the filtering for hair. This part works well to capture hair and is easy to clean. Much better than having to clean out the pipes which is really nasty.

Keeps hair out of drain, will need to hold open after awhile.
Works as intended. Need to rplace every 6 months, as will not stay in drain postion without holding open.

Water from tub faucet closes the chrome stopper, that stops water from draining, it makes the hair catcher useless.
I tried to overcome this problem by starting the shower only, the plunger of the stopper falls and block water within a minute of showering. The critical design flaw is no mechanism to keep the chrome cap up, so that the opening for the water stays open, and so it will drain. It really felt like no one else ever tried to use it in a real shower, how could this work, ever? I tried different positions of the chrome cap, different heights for the black insert. Same problem. The instructions do not have a suggested solution for this. Finally, if you push through and continue your shower standing in a tub that is filling. Eventually, the entire assembly floats up letting some water drain. It does not even work as a stopper. It's a piece of trash.

Plugs drain
My daughter hates using this. It doesn't sit neatly in the drain and tends to pool the water instead of letting it down and collecting her long hair. It does collect some hair but due to it plugging the drain and the daughter not liking how it works, this is what I am giving it 2 stars.

Measure First!
I never listen. It was too big but we are moving and I'll try it in the next house!

Odd fit
First of all it does catch the hair and trap it. However, you have to pull it out after each shower or the drainage is very slow and it doesn't have that much hair in it. Going back to the screen one.
