Does exactly what it says it does
Does exactly what it says it does, my skimming time is reduced to a minimum. It pulls large bugs into the bucket instead of floating on top and the small floating Pollen and debris are much less. The only real issue is it doesn't attach to the bucket and the water level has a big impact. It rained a few days and it doesn't work as well until the level lowers.

Works to remove surface leaves
Works surprisingly well. Fits into place and starts the water swirling. It would be nice to have a peg or something to grab to remove from basket, but I'm happy with it's performance.

Great product!
I have very anemic skimmers w low suction power. The cyclone skimmer really boosted the suction power and helped the effectiveness at least 100%!!

This product was everything it said it would do. Buy it end of story!

Helps but a 1 piece design is likely a better choice.
This helps pull debris into the strainer. However, since it sits on top of the basket instead of being attached, if you don’t run the pump continuously it can become dislodged from the basket and move around inside the strainer housing. My pump is on a timer and the last time the cyclone floated to block the skimmer. I found it by all the air being sucked into the pump suction. I’ll either tie wrap the cyclone to the basket or buy the one that the basket and cyclone are one piece.

More suction
It works surprisingly good with the cone facing up, not so much in the inverted position. I've noticed less leaves on the surface. Definitely a stronger suction than without it. Not bad for the price.
