Old remote broke after 2 years, this broke after 2 months...

Slow response compared to the other

I bought a 32 inch lg tv from Argos .It came with a basic remote which did not have a microphone.I bought this item hoping it would be compatible with my tv .It is and I am able to use the Alexa app on the tv as well as point and press feature which original control did not have.

Fantastic price, ridiculously easy to pair, a little input lag compared to a traditional IR remote but otherwise works perfectly - when it wants to.The issue comes from it seemingly turning off and then, unless I'm blind, there's no way to turn it back on without popping a battery loose and reconnecting it. That wakes it back up, but man, that's ridiculously annoying to have to do every time you want to use it.

I purchased this because when I moved home somehow the remote control disappeared I have a feeling it was picked up by mistake when we had the tv services installed.I purchased a cheap one first but it really annoyed me the buttons just didn’t work well. This one is so much better to use, hold, manoeuvre I highly recommend it.

Update:After about 4 months the scroll wheel failed and is stuck down. So it's now in the bin. Just spend alittle more and get a genuine one.Review:Clearly a copy of an actuall LG magic remote. Buttons feel clunky especially the click to select (where the scroll wheel is)Seems to do a strange thing where the power button will flash continuously for around 30 seconds every 20 mins or so. I purchased under the impression it was a genuine LG remoteBut it works.
