Free fall performance, rock bottom price.
I work for a Security company as a technician for alarms and camera systems. this is the single most useful tool on my hip next to my 3m electrical tape and soldering iron. Everything from cat-5e to 16-2 stranded is easilly cut by these little powerhouses. For cat-5 and phone wire the strippers on the side of the shears works wonders but it will cut stranded wire so you're better off using the shears. To strip wire, you grab the shears and lightly cut into the shielding while turning them around the wire. The idea is to score it deeply without cutting into the copper. Then you grab a spot after the score mark and twist the shielding opposite directions until it breaks clean and peels off. This works great if you're working with wire that doesn't have a pull string and you don't want to risk cutting into the smaller bundles of wire inside. I would't recommend cutting through solid wire much heavier than 16 gauge but it's possible if you roll the shears on the wire as you apply pressure. if you just try to muscle your way through 14-2+1 romex you WILL roll the edge of your shears and they will not cut correctly without filing it down. Use wire dikes for anything that heavy and you'll have no problems. A coworker of mine has a pair of these from 2004 that still sail through wire and strip like the day they were made. A light coating of ballistol or your favorite CLP will ensure these shears will outlast you int he years to come. This is an excellent product and excellent company that I've made sure to buy several to have backups in the event production ever ceases. I cannot rate these high enough for low voltage work. Between this and a good 11 in 1 screwdriver, you have most of what you need for anything short of wiring a house with mains.

Great scissors from a mostly solid brand.
I've owned 3 and lost a few pairs (walked off or lost) of these scissors. I like the extended handle, makes it easy to shear through hard items. The insulation on the one side is nice if you have to try to cut harder items. They're great in my experience, basically bombproof scissors. Prior versions, I've cut through cable outside of spec and almost everything I need cut short of haircuts or food. They kept working, only needing a tightening of the hinge screw and light oil to maintain finish. Even my first pair from 20 years ago worked fine until lost. Maybe because they're new and not been used for wire outside of specification, however, they seem better than prior versions. They've still got the nice easy to close scissor action, cuts through wire and other softer materials with some ease. I'll update if they ever fail or do anything besides cut every (reasonable) item I try to put through their blades, with smooth tight action.

Excellent purchase.
Definitely a keeper. The extended handle fits great in the palm of your hand to give you extra cutting power. I can actually cut a penny in half. Very well done.

An essential tool of the trade
Different people in the trades may like different models, but for me this is what I'd consider your standard pair of snips. It does everything, and does it well. Biggest complaint over time is the tightness/sharpness over time, as well as the yellow handles chipping off over time. But these are snips, you should if using them for construction replace them every year or year and a half. Overall, these are my go to snips.

Take a little breaking in
These are great snips. I'm not in an industry that uses them often, so I don't have anything other than regular scissors to compare them to. But these work great at cutting wires and will cut whatever you need. Definitely more ergonomic than Klein's other electrician snips (I bought a couple pair; ended up going with this model). They do, however, require a little breaking in to make them as free-moving as everyone described. Maybe I just got a bad pair, but I've been cutting wire, folds of paper, fabric, etc. just trying to get them to open with little resistance.

Great scissors but Finger holesnot as large as they appear
They cut GREAT but did not provide enough for for two or more fingers. They look like they have plenty of room but I really could only use my thumb and one finger. I should have bought the one with regular size finger holes.

The cut
If youโve ever used cheap snips, you know the pain โ binding, dull edges, awkward grip, trash steel. These cut clean, drop smooth, and feel right. No fighting. No frustration. Just execution.

Sharp and sturdy scissor
Great sturdy stainless steel scissor. Easy to use. It cuts through Ethernet cable and other low-voltage wires with incredible ease. I've used them mainly for this purpose, but I'm sure they would be good for household applications
