Something about this bag just hits right. Usually nostalgia colors your perception and you can't really get the same feeling, but as soon as I opened the box, this bag made me feel like I had found my old favorite backpack again even though it doesn't look the same. Whoever designed this loved their backpack in school and made this for other people who also loved theirs. Now that I'm an adult and I can buy whatever I want, it's weird how good this bag feels. I would buy this again in a heartbeat, rather than one of the million black shiny sleek modern rolled up trash bag things people carry these days. The inside feels sturdy and satisfying with all the hidden pockets and sleeves and nylon, but the outside has this perfect old school canvas that I can't wait to still love in 10 or 15 years once I drop it and spill stuff on it a few hundred times. Right out of the box it already looks relaxed and holds a ton of stuff while not being huge. Zippers are easy to manage with nice pull tabs, straps are padded and squishy, and the bag space is bottomless even though it appears average size. I'm carrying a 15" laptop, large over-ear headphones, 3 power cables, notebook, pens, 2 large calculators, deodorant, cologne, medication, tylenol, sunglasses, and a paperback novel. Not a single pocket is full, I could add plenty more if I had to. This bag feels so good Im looking at Fjallraven jackets and hats now too. Nobody paid me for this review, I spent 120 bucks on it and Im happy about it.

My search for a nice sleek and elegant backpack is finally over. I was skeptical about the size being too small for my liking, but wow the backpack offers a slim design while maintaining the spacious storage capacity. The Raven 28 can easily fit my 16” laptop while still maintaining lots of room to add other supplies. The build quality is great and the thickness of the backpack makes sure your stuff is well protected. Doesn’t feel cheap and is made with 100% recycled materials. The design is so pleasing and simple. Overall great backpack with a lot of storage capacity for everyday use.

This is the best daypack i have had. Super sturdy construction. Zippers are robust, don't stick and are easy to use. Just enough pockets and compartments to hold everything I need.

Very high quality materials, firm construction, it has a separate compartment for just about anything, and it’s not puffed up on your back like they puff it in the photo, it actually has a very nice comfortable shape on the back. Definitely worth the money

Been carrying this backpack for a few months now. It's held up extremely well; the color looks fantastic and matches the pictures. The build quality is phenomenal! Carries a 13 inch iPad and case comfortably along with multiple notebooks and textbooks. Would recommend this backpack for someone who needs a work back, but also wants to take it hiking or camping on the weekends! It's not meant for a hard trip, but great for a smaller bag for EDC.

I love this bag. Ordered it for an extended trip to the Philippines where it was subjected to heat, salt water, and rain. Kept my stuff protected from the elements. Perfect size as a day bag, and carry on. Lots of useful places to store all your travel stuff with peace of mind. Loved the color, and it was comfortable, always. I know its going to last me a lifetime.

This is a great laptop backpack with just one exception - the bag will not stay upright easily, even if it’s against a wall or chair. Plenty of pockets, easy to access and really comfortable to wear through the airport and on other trips. Love the color as well and the zipper mesh pockets and separate sleeves are great for keys, laptop and iPhone chargers and cables and any other travel accessories. It’s even large enough for an overnight. Would be 5 stars if Fjallraven had leveled out the bottom for it to stand upright.

I got this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Every trip we go on, he takes it with him and it amazes him everytime how much he can fit in it.

After light use over the past year, both back zippers have come off rendering the bag useless. Pretty gutted, I expected better.

Very strong but also stylish. It is suitable for both college and work, and also for short travels. I love it.

I've only used this for 1 day. For context, I'm out and about for most of the work day. I take public transit and walk a lot. My last bag (NF Recon) lasted a year and a half before the straps wore out and the foam started showing. I like the fit of this bag. It's just the right size for my use. 13" MBP, 12.9" iPad, a folder or two, small pencil case, small 1st aid kit, tech pouch... They fit and everything has its place. Feature wise it's simpler than the Recon. I like the materials but the webbings on the shoulder straps are anemic and it could do with a sternum strap. Expect a sweaty back if you're somewhere warm and humid like me.

The backpack fabric tends to show lint and dirt very quickly. Regular cleaning will be necessary to maintain the backpack's appearance. Wax will have to be applied to make the laptop water-resistant, thankfully it is an easy process!
