Most shea butters are hard as a rock. What is the texture of this product? Is it creamy?

It has a creamy texture vs the 100% all natural African Shea Butter that I usually purchase. The Palmers brand is not for me. I prefer the 100% all natural African Shea Butter, actually. To combat the rigidity of the all natural product, I just allow a few seconds for it to warm in my closed fist. Thereafter, it applies just fine.

What is the difference (other than jar size) between this Palmer's "raw shea balm" and the Palmer's "shea butter formula" ? Which is better?

Balm is a bit more greasy, but both have excellent moisturizing properties and scent

Does this have any kind of seal under the lid? Mine just arrived with the lid slightly ajar and no seal underneath- is this normal?

No there is no seal under the lid

Is this suppose to have little chunks of cocoa butter in it like balls

Yes it’s a balm and very thick, you just have to rub it in really good
