Life Can Change in an Instant
For Sergeant Joe Kovacs, that instant came during a Ganymede training exercise when an accident left him permanently blind. A voice in the night offered him the impossible, to restore his sight. More than Joe’s “sight” was restored. Much more.Great opening book in a brilliant new series. An intriguing story premise, plenty of plot twists and political intrigue that grab and hold your interest, deep, engaging characters that are totally believable, people you want to root for and lots of fun banter.Definitely recommended.

Excellent +
Amazing!!! I particularly enjoy when an author includes real science and scientific reality. And no, those are not the same thing... Think about it. I now must wait until June when I can pick up where he left me.... Damn. Oh well, I'll just have to buy one of his other books. This author is great. 🙂

The pinnacle of military science fiction.
A mix of small unit operations involving highly realistic spec-ops and science and big picture old-school sci-fi. I have to say, it's been a minute since I've read sci-fi this good. I loved it.

Causing a stir...again!
History has a couple of cases where people became visionaries, able to see the future. Almost without exception they are talked of with veneration and awe as this ability is rare and impactful. No, reading cards or palms or tea leaves or the Ouija board or calling up ghosts does not count. For Joe Kovacs this became a reality when he was blinded in a training exercise. He recovered his sight again. Not immediately, though. Only after receiving an implant. A very, very unique one too, though neither he nor Dr. Ana realised how unique it was until the light flashes started to revealing a startling scene or more. The problem? Being a space marine this can be fatal in a real life fighting scenario. And so handy for military command, especially for nefarious purposes too.For Joe life has turned interesting. Possibly fatally so.I simply love any book by author L.L. Richman. They all inevitably turn out to be vibrantly unique and huge page turners. Vision Rising is no exception and as the start of a new imaginative series bound to create another major stir in SciFi military rankings.Again!Enjoy.

Great pace. Very engaging.
Love this novel from LL Richman. The pace is excellent, and it keeps you turning the pages and deeply involves you in the first part of Kovac's journey, with some unique twists to conventional tropes. It will leave you wanting the next book. Overall, a job well done.Disclosure: I reviewed a free ARC of this book.

What A Ride!!
VISION RISING is a winner! I loved this tale of a space soldier’s experimental treatment for sudden blindness turning out to be way more experimental than he dreamed! Joe & all his team, as well as Doc Ana, are fully developed characters with realistic (sometimes hilarious) personalities. There’s a lot of exciting, imaginative science-fiction (is that redundant?) tech and theory with plenty of military, heart-in-your-throat black op action. Great book. Read it!Disclosure: I reviewed a free Advance Reader copy of this book.
