The flame regulating valve is located at the bottom of the lighter. Adjust flame by rotating valve no more than ¼ turn at a time; otherwise flame will be extinguished. Note the + and – signs; rotation to the left [+] [counter-clockwise] increases flame size; rotation to the right [-] [clockwise] decreases flame size.

What are the functions of the four holes on the side of the lighter？

Four holes can allow the top of the lighter to dissipate heat faster, with an estimated 30% increase in heat dissipation efficiency.
