I got these barn shed truss connectors for my brother who expressed a desire to build a barn shed in his back yard (from scratch). After he showed me his (quite labor-intensive) plans, I found these bad boys on Amazon & gave them to him for his birthday. He was impressed with their design & ease of use, but he did have some reservations about their strength... until he began using them to assemble his barn shed. Once completed, he said he thot the strength of the completed unit was nominal

Used kit before. Held up to wind and snow better than plywood corners. Lost in fire. Use rafters Runner’s first before attaching to walls to prevent torsion problems. Can bend easily. Walls are engineered for cutting but can use standard studs as walls if concrete foundation is used to carry load weight. Barn style allows inside roof space to be used more effectively and reduces heat buildup when properly vented. Wooden floor allows mice and rodents to chew thru. Biggest expense is roofing material but can use tin for walls and roof. Use insulation for foundation in snow areas and inside walls. Used kits to build greenhouses using half plywood bottom and clear poly. Ramp helps to use as garden tractor storage. Nice product.

This system works well, liked the lumber order list. Only negative is the "A"brackets have only 1.625 inch opening for the 2x4 inch rails that tie the trusses together. 2x4 are actually 1.75 inch thick. Once the trusses are all up you cannot force the 2x4 without bending the bracket Trust me I tried. My solution was to plane off 1/8 inch on the 2x4. The brackets are thin but work fine when you add the 20 screws per joint to secure them.

DO NOT BUY!!!! This was the biggest waste of money and made our shed building process take exponentially longer and then we weren't even able to use anything from this kit with no ability to return. We first started with the kit followed instructions on building and it was about 16 inches wider than the dimensions we were following and the angle did not line up correctly. We then called the manufacturer and they said they would send us a new kit and we could return our original directly to them, they sen the new kit and it took awhile. When the new kit finally arrived we started over with that kit, same problems to wide and angles. We then tried to correct with shorter measurements to try and make it fit, after trail and error we got measurements that would work (NOTHING like the measurements given in the instructions). When we went to tilt it up the first side, every bracket bent and twisted and came crashing down. When I went to return this item after the second attempt with the materials, we were no outside of the return period and now when we contacted them again to return they said we had to go through our original purchase method. So we are stuck with a kit that is TERRIBLE and we cant get our money back. We ultimately had to go a completely different direction and it took a lot longer then we had intended because of the multiple fails with this kit!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!

I practically built my 8x10 shed by myself. I bought 2 sets, but didn't use the entire 2nd one. I'm going to find a project to use the pieces with. This was an amazing process. Instructions came with a cut list. Assembly was easy! My neighbor helped with the siding, but the rest i did alone. These brackets are AMAZING!! I might try some of their other brackets for other projects around the yard!

I just received these yesterday. I have previously bought & built one of these using "2x4 Basic" kit. The brackets look similar to the 2x4 Basics kit. What is different is the instructions, or should I say LACK OF instructions. The instructions only show a few photos and does not number code (piece N, piece K, etc) like the 2x4 basics kit does. I'll use the instructions I have from 2x4 basics which are much more detailed & see how that comes out. If it is too much of a head ache, then I'll stick to buying 2x4 shed kits. I mean 2x4 Basics even goes so far as to telling you which pieces to cut fro a 12' board or if you cut it from an 8' board. This kit just list the number of boards required at a certain length ..... you have to figure out what board length you will cut them from without too much waste.

The brackets seem sturdy. I had a problem getting the instructions which are not included with the brackets. I now have everything I need and am anxious to get started. I will give an update after the shed is built.
