Well, like . . . . I dunno
Is was always going to be a long-shot wasn't it?Bought in one of those unthinking moments - when sheer logic and sense (and let's not even CONSIDER professional knowledge) should rule out a particular path, late into the night you'll just HIT THE BUTTON.. . . . . and I did. Stupid, stupid, stupid. If you want to extend the functionality of your graphics card, having exhausted it's 'OUT' slots into the TV, the Hamster cage, or wherever you feel you need a display, don't go for this. Get a new graphics card with more outy slots.I'm sure there will be instances where using this works for you, but Win7, and Win8 people should, perhaps, not bother.Beautifully built, cheap as chips, and speedily delivered - you will still only JUST manage to duplicate a display - and who wants that?

Splitter is the right description !
Sadly,as per others who have reviewed this product,my adapter didn't work either.I wanted to use it to connect two computers to one display. All I got was a yellow picture that was blurred. Not really what I was hoping for. However, being interested enough to cut it open and ascertain the fault,I discovered that,as has been previously mentioned,it was faulty manufacture. One wire had come loose fromone pin due to a dry solder joint.I merely re soldered it and re assembled the connector.Ok,I used string and it looks totally unprofessional but it now works so I'm happy. It's all hidden behind the TV so I'm the only one who will ever know..,oh,and all of you of course.

Perfect
This was purchased to allow me to connect my PC tower VGA output both to my monitor and my large screen TV at the same time..........this allows me to view BBC iplayer and other catch up internet TV on the big screen. It works perfectly with no drop in performance. However it did require a minimal amount of "setting up" via control panel and PC select on the TV input. When buying this lead (and others available on Amazon)you should be aware that it might not be a simple matter of plugging both ends in and away you go.For instance if your PC has a low spec graphics card it might well struggle to power 2 screens.........this wouldnt be the fault of the lead.

Pleased with these splitters because they work
Fantastic. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. My only gripe is that the female ends have male screws attached which make it impossible to secure correctly. I hope this doesn't affect the signal transference as Months turn into Years but only time will tell. Today, this inadequate way of connecting them to my equipment makes no difference. I'm pleased with the product but can only give them a FOUR STAR rating because of this faulty connection. They arrived far, far too early. Everyone that shops on Amazon thinks goods arriving early is a good thing. I DO NOT!

Average product
Having never used a product of it's ilk before I kept an open mind. I wanted to feed a signal from my PC to both my monitor and my TV. The product worked in that it sent a signal to both devices but the signal degradation to the monitor was really bad as it made the screen really dark. When I unplugged the TV the signal returned to normal (kind of defeating the object). I suppose that's the problem with a 'splitter' as oppose to a 'switch' (which I have now ordered to replace the lead)Invero (the seller) were excellent though. The product was ordered on a Sunday afternoon and arrived on Tuesday morning. When I contacted them to request a return they responded within a couple of hours offering a full refund.

Don't know what the fuss is about!
It does exactly what it says on the tin! It splits the VGA output from a computer/laptop/mac into 2 outputs. As for ghosting, what do you expect.... you are splitting an output that is designed to run 1 monitor so without the purchase of a more expensive powered splitter you are reducing the signals in half with this device. Honestly I didn't experience any ghosting or any noticeable reduction in quality and I'm using it to split my Media Center PC between my 50" Plasma and a 120" Projector.Worth every penny!

Probably won't work for you
Okay, it's a cheap way of splitting one VGA signal in to two but attempting this the simple way (with just a cable) doesn't really work. I knew the picture would be bad, but in practice this is worse. If you want to drive two monitors from one source get an expensive active distributor box instead unless you're prepared to put up with awful quality. This gets two stars because I was expecting to put up with said awful quality for one particular job.

excellent product and unbelievable value
I am a girl and not at all techy but this cable is brilliant. I wanted to connect my PC to TV and have the monitor still running as TV in another room. Bought a 10m VGA cable and single audio line and it all works beautifully. I did have some ghosting as another reviewer said but when I rang the company they said try to move box away from all other cables to lessen interference. I did and picture quality perfect. Pretty good I reckon for two quids. Thoroughly recommend.
