Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron, Moisture Heat Technology & NanoIonic MX

Fantastic curling iron! Super sleek and my hair Glides right through with every pass. Heats up very quickly and has three different heat settings along with the temperature going up to 450°. I don't have to keep the curling iron on my hair for very long for fear of heat damage so it's perfect for a really fast curl and smoothing out my hair. The extra long barrel definitely helps since I have long waist length hair. Bio Ionic is truly a very good brand and I have the blow dryer also I trust this brand and the curling iron is by far my favorite!

I have had my eye on this curling iron for MONTHS and was nervous to make the splurge. I waited for it to be on sale, but I'm honestly wishing I had ordered it sooner. Love that you can lock the temp control and how smooth my hair looks after using it. I have very thick long hair and I can easily curl my entire head in half the time as I could with my Hot Tools curling iron. And the curls HOLD. Went with 1.5 to get the beachy look and it's perfect.

I’m Gen X and curling irons win every time over wands. I have this Bioionic and a smaller size, while my daughter has the 1 inch. I love it. Heats up quickly, hair grip is perfect. Seems very good quality

I noticed that it doesn't hold a curl, and even though it's hot to the touch, it actually is not fully heated through until I am done with the hair. So in essence, it takes about 30 minutes for the iron to heat up all the way through. Only with that last curls I do are actually hold for a few hours. So when it says that it heats up quickly it, that's not true. In order for it to hold the curl, it needs to heat up thoroughly for at least 30 minutes and who has time for that and wants to spend that money on energy for a curling iron. I also noticed more breakage possibly due to the heavy weight of the iron and how it pulls on the hair. The temperature adjustment buttons are also placed in the wrong place, when you are twirling, the iron is really easy to accidentally push the settings and change the temperature. They're always in the way. So for me this is a no-go, wish I could resell it. Unfortunately, their return window has long passed. No I would not recommend.

I have never had my curls come out as beautifully as they did with the Bio Ionic Long Barrel Styler! The long barrel makes it so much easier to style longer sections of hair quickly, and the curls actually last all day without touch-ups. Seriously, I only had 30 minutes to curl my hair for a wedding and it was perfect. I will attach a photo of the finished product. It heats up fast, glides smoothly through the hair, and leaves a soft, shiny finish without frizz. My hair felt healthy even after styling, and the design made it super comfortable to use. If you’ve struggled to get consistent, salon-quality curls at home, this tool is absolutely worth the investment. Highly recommend!

I’ve been trying to look for a good large barrel curling iron and ended up deciding on this one. I saw a lot of the reviews stating that it doesn’t hold a curl well, but my hair typically holds curls very well so I decided to give it a try. While I love how the curls initially turn out, despite heat protectant and hairspray, the curls always end up falling flat and making my hair look flat in general! They do leave my hair looking shiny, but curls are barely noticeable within hours. I will say that I like that you can lock in the heat level and that there is automatic shut off, but besides that I wouldn’t say it was worth it.

Overall, this curling iron works really well. It leaves my hair soft and shiny even on the lowest temperature setting, which I truly appreciate. The quality and functionality are great, I can do my entire head in about 15 minutes, and the curls actually hold — which is a big win for me. That said, I had an unpleasant experience with my first order. The box arrived kind of opened, but at first I didn’t think much of it. After a few days of using it, I started thinking, “This can’t be 1.5 inches.” I read several reviews mentioning how difficult and time-consuming it is to get a replacement, so instead of going through that, I decided to order a new one and return the old one. Turns out, I was right. The original iron felt more like a 0.75” or 1” barrel, even though the box clearly said 1.5”. That’s what made the situation more concerning. I don’t necessarily think it was intentional, but it really made me feel like used or returned products might be resold as new, which isn’t great. I partially blame the brand, but I honestly think it’s more likely people returning the wrong items and them not being properly checked. Moral of the story: always double-check what you receive. Despite that issue, once I finally got the correct iron, I absolutely loved it. Great product overall, excellent performance, and I would recommend it — just inspect your order carefully when it arrives.

Actually wanted to give this 4.5 stars, only because I constantly hit the buttons while I’m curling my hair. That part is annoying, but the long curling shaft & the curling iron itself is phenomenal for my long hair! I used to struggle to curl my hair due to its long length but this makes curling my hair a breeze! Multiple heat levels. Grip on the end. Overall, I would definitely recommend & purchase again.

I have 24" hair and this curling iron barely leaves a curl in my hair. I have the 1" of this same company and I wanted larger curls; Should've bought the 1.25" instead. Not the curler's fault - Works great and I love this company. My fav hair accessories brand.
