A word of caution: if you want a woman's fit, make sure you order the correct European equivalent size! Don't just order a "7" or you might get a 41 - make sure you order a European 40 (as per Birkenstock's own size guide). I placed my first order in a rush, made that mistake and had to exchange them. I love these: light, well made, exceedingly comfortable. I do think that a lot of issues & niggles some people report is because they haven't read Birkenstock's own advice on sizing and fit.

Like all my previous Birkenstocks, these are exactly what I'd expect. OK, you wouldn't buy them for their elegance or good looks but as usual, I got them out of the box, adjusted the straps to fit, slipped them onto my feet and was almost deafened by my feet saying "aaah, thank you". That was last Tuesday, and I've put them on every day since and worn them all day. It's Sunday today, and the only reason I can think of to wear different foowear for the rest of the summer/autumn is to change to a pair of Birkenstocks that better match the clothes I'll be wearing that day (or to go to a posh party - though I do have a silver pair for that!).

I don't know how these could be sold for just £20. I usually buy direct from Birkenstock, and the first pair of 'bargain' Birkenstocks I bought from Amazon seemed to bear out the idea that the manufacturers were supplying better quality - they were really thin, floppy leather which stretched so much that I had to have new holes put into the straps; however these are of premier quality.

As I take a 5 in shoe due to swelling I ordered a 4, but I started getting cramp in the feet due to clawing my toes trying to keep on, I found the sand less in a local shop and tried a smaller size, walked around the shop and what a difference they were brilliant. So I bought a leather hole punch and put extra holes in the straps. This has sorted out the cramping. I couldn't have sent them back as I'd walk quit a bit int them on the beach they were significantly marked. But on the hole a very comfy sandle whished I'd tried the sizing in th shop first before ordering them.

After reading the many reviews concerning the sizing of these scandals, I was a little dubious about ordering a pair for my husband. However after lengthy research, I decided to 'bite the bullet' and placed an order. They arrived within the scheduled delivery time and fit perfectly! My husband is usually a size 9 but I ordered a size EU40 normal width. He was pleasantly surprised and is looking forward to wearing them on holiday and in the summer time. I would definitely use this website again...Great service, great fit, great price, great buy!

Love my Birkenstocks, these are to replace another pair that lasted for years. I love being able to stand and walk for hours at a time without any back or knee aches. Looking out for another pair in brown. Having a very broad foot (eeee) size 5, I got a size smaller size 4/37 in Normal width (shown by just the outline of the tiny foot pic on the insole) and I made an extra hole on the straps nearest my ankles and they are perfect. Great support for high arches.

My Birkenstock sandals are a staple item in my wardrobe. I bought my only previous pair in Germany in 1998 which means they have lasted me almost 20 years, helped along with a little glue here and there along the way. I could easily have carried on glueing them but they finally split to a point where they might have been dangerous while on holiday this year so I decided to replace them on Amazon. They arrived promptly and this pair will probably see me out.

I bought these for my husband. These are such high quality and my Husband loves them and am now considering buying some for me. Highly recommend, the fit is perfect and they are immensely comfortable.

Artikel ist wie beschrieben (Warehouse deal). Hat einen kleinen Makel, der mich aber nicht stört. Passform und Tragekomfort so, wie man es von Birkenstock erwartet. Habe bei dieser Marke allerding eine ganze Größe kleiner als sonst.

Die Pantolette passt wunderbar, ist bequem und auch noch längerer Zeit auf den Beinen immer noch sehr angenehm. Typische Birkenstock-Qualität an der es nichts auszusetzen gibt. Würde ich wieder kaufen und ist eine klare Kaufempfehlung von mir.
