Good story, good author
Continuing story. Has very small print. Would not have bought it if I'd known the print was so small.

This is an incredible Amish novel!
I loved getting to visit with Heidi and Lyle Troyer again. I thoroughly enjoy this couple because they have a strong marriage in which they support and encourage each other. Their marriage is the strong foundation for how the interact with the students in Heidi’s cooking class. The new batch of students is varied and very entertaining to get to know. Each one has their own set of problems to work through over the course of the six classes. Even while she is trying to encourage her students Heidi herself is dealing with personal heartbreak.I loved the appearances of Kendra and some of the other people who were in the first set of classes Heidi held. Their lives have progressed and it is a lot of fun to check in on them.I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Good Read
Well written story from beginning to end. Held my attention all the way through. The characters were written well, keeping their details fresh in my mind as individuals all the way through the story. Ms. Brunstetter takes everyday lives and weaves beauty into the reality making me appreciate the details that could be missed in my own life. Taking hard topics/life situations and shining the light of God's Word. Showing the ever present blanket of God's Grace, Mercy and Love available to everyone, everywhere, irregardless of who you are, where you live or your economic situation. Enjoyed this immensely.

The characters are wonderful, and you can not put her books down
I have read every book Wanda has written. The characters are wonderful, and you can not put her books down. I love the fact that all her characters have the love of God in them, and they remind us that we are not alone, we all go through the same things and she shows us how God is always there in the mist of it all. Thank you Wanda, for sharing your wonderful stories and may God bless you so that you can keep sharing your stories. Looking forward to your next one. They are addictive. Catherine Leonard

Not as good as the first in the series
I’ll be honest I’ve read way more Amish themed books then I’d like to admit to most people and this series in general isn’t my favorite. That being said the fist book in the series was charming enough for me to try this book as well. This isn’t an awful story but I just don’t buy her motivation to continue teaching these classes. The characters taking her class also felt more hollow then those in the first book. The main draw in reading this was to see if the Troyers would end up with their own child. The book ends with a compromise for them that makes me happy for them but comes at the very, very end-it didn’t satisfy me as the next part of the story that started in the first book.

Not her best work
I don't like this book as well as book one. I felt sorry for Nicole who was in a really bad situation at home. Her mom had left and she had to do all the housekeeping in addition to schoolwork. She had no time to be a kid. Lisa was a caterer wanting new recipes for her business. Bill wanted to learn to cook for his hunting buddies. Todd was a restaurant critic wanting to know about Amish cooking but didn't confess that right away. I can't put my finger on it but these characters just didn't grab me the way book one did.
