Very choppy even for basic usage. Works like 1GB RAM mobile even though it is on 4GB + 2GB extended RAM. Switching to another app closes the previously open app. For example can't even receive OTPs because messages does not work in background even with all battery optimizations turned off. Switching to messages will cause the OTP page to reload requiring new OTP. Then messages will get deactivated when you go to the OTP page. Apps can't even stay for 2 seconds in the background.

I recently purchased the Redmi Note 12 5G and let me tell you, I am absolutely smitten with this phone. It has taken my love for technology to the next level. Performance wise, this phone is like a boss with no lag or stuttering, even when I try to test its limits by running multiple apps at once. The battery life is amazing. I bought it for my father thinking that the new and improved processor won't lag in day to day tasks like his previous device , but it lags like hell even to open the dialler for phone calls, i regret buying this one , i should have gone with other better brands

Very happy with this smartphone, overall good buy at the price point. The amoled display on the phone provides for a great experience and a major upgrade from my previous mobile. I have been using the phone from past one week and the camera quality is also very solid. Photographs from the 48mp camera are sharp and detailed. MIUI is also very clean and overall experience has improved a lot, becoming a lot more intuitive and user friendly.
