Good Power for the Price
Solid built product, fits well into my home rack. I bought two of them in order to organize my devices with redundant power. Only small criticism I have would be that the plastic guard protecting the Power switch from accidental contact is a pop on instead of affixed on a hinge or something. Not a big deal to me since my rack can be rolled, but if your rack is standing and you run your power cabling to the back of the rack, these can pop off and fall and be annoying to find or retrieve. Otherwise, functionally speaking, this is a great product for a great price.

works as advertised and is pretty rugged...
I dont know about other reviewers but It was a breeze to setup and works as advertized and fits on my 19inch rails easily and i built the shelves and rails from scratch. If your looking for something quick and easy then this product is what you definately need, word of advice tho make sure you flip the power switch on if you want things to work, suprisngly the first thing i did and worked fine.

Solid build and performance.
Solid performance. The construction is of good quality and the price point was ideal for a home shed server cabinet. Would gladly buy it again.

I bought two, the second has the power cord on the back
The first power strip I bought had the power cable coming out the side. It still fit my rack just fine and I was very happy with the price so I bought a second. The second one is different. It has the power cable coming out the back which should help in some mounting situations. The second one also has a plastic cover over the power switch. In the picture of both, the newer one with the cover over the switch is on top. I'm happy with both, though I'm sure some people would like to know which version they are going to receive.

Bought this two times for my server racks
This is really good fit for a rack. Not much to say about a power strip, but the price and the quality is really good.

Quality Construction
This PDU is great. Light weight aluminum construction. Nicely rounded edging. Smooth plastic finish on plug side. Cable and buttons feel durable. It's all I needed for UPS power distribution in my 24u rack.

Cover Plate! - Detachable
It is lightweight, would have thought it would have been a bit heavier. But we shall see how well it powers. Nice to have at the front of the desk to have power taps.

This is a fire waiting to happen. Buy something certified.
I'm not going to lie. I bought this because of the name, to see if it was actually good. It's not.My unit had a piece of vacuum-formed plastic covering the terminals and it's not fire rated. Basically retail packaging plastic. The other reviewer mentioned concerns with the bus-rail design, adding a combustible in here doubles them. The bigger question though, is why was this in here? Do they expect me to flip the rack ears while it's plugged in? I then scoured the product page and unit to find any mention of certification and remembered the price I paid for it. It has none, and this shows you why certifications are needed.I returned it and bought the next up, a StarTech 8 outlet unit for $80 CAD or so. It was 2x the price, but my equipment is much more.Out of curiousity, I opened the StarTech unit (was I just joshing myself?) The difference is NIGHT AND DAY. The outlets are in groups of two with separate runs, it's roomy, nothing is flammable, solder and mechanical connections are solid, it actually has a surge protection circuit inside of it. The StarTech unit is a properly engineered, safe, reliable product. Like any UL/CE-listed product would have to be.
