I use these mats strictly for baking sugar cookies that I will professionally decorate. I like how they help the cookies to bake evenly. Also, the cookies get a tiny bit crisp on the bottom without getting burned, and the perforated pattern gives the cookies a professional finished look on the bottom.

These do work great at helping bottoms of cookies bake evenly. Unfortunately, they're a pain in the you-know-where to clean. You're not supposed to use oily dish soap (at least from videos I've seen which led me to this type product) so cleaning the dough from the tiny holes is a bit much. You can't run thru dishwasher either because of the possible residue left behind. So, a good scrubbing brush is needed.

I recently decided to try my hand at sugar cookies and royal frosting and these mats make the baking process perfection. They help to evenly cook the cookies. Paired with the half sheet baking pans recommended by The Graceful Baker, I could not be more pleased with how this new hobby is going. :)

Works well with baking cookies with the exception of macarons which stick a bit & crack when attempting to remove from the baking mat.
