none of these tracing devices work. inside the house ok....but not beyond at ALL!

What a piece of junk. Doesn't work half the time and eats up the phone battery like mad. Being a famous youtuber with over 220 million views so far, thought I'd try it out for my viewers. It looked cute and hey, never lose your car keys again would have made a great video. IF the stupid thing actually worked, which it doesn't. And the people who sell it do not allow returns, saying "special packaging would be needed." What a crock, people are just thieves. DO NOT BUY. I hate it when people get ripped off so hopefully I will warn many people not to buy this poor product.

Very defective product, this may fix your problem.
I purchased four of them in Christmas time and only half of them survived because the battery terminal is defective and would constantly turn on and off and because I updated the firmware it is completely junk now. The battery terminal is easily fixed with a piece of aluminum foil, if only I knew that ahead of time. And if you do a firmware update make sure the battery terminal is fixed or prepared to throw it away. And because it turned on and off constantly and drain the battery to nothing so I had to buy a new battery.Update: Only one out of four works, probably due to the battery not staying in place while updating the firmware causing permanent damage to the software.

Bought this for the dog's collar thought it was a cool idea. Lasted about a week then started randomly beeping and signing a tune. He didn't like that very much. Inside dog so I don't think the heat was a factor not sure what happened but it stopped working.

Bought item in January, by March 4th the first and only time I actually needed help from this item it failed because the batteries are completely dead already. A Crew 2032 battery should last.
