I bought it because of its dimensions. It went from working fine to burning my toast in places and underdone in other places within 6 months. Piece of junk.

important caveat is that this cost me $16 at Target. It was the cheapest toaster oven available, so I've learned my lesson. This toaster oven was defective mostly in that the timing knob would get stuck and not turn itself off when time was off. I've burned a lot of food because of this. A fire safety hazard really. Beware of stuff that's too cheap.

We bought this one a week ago when we moved into a condo. It bursted into fire which shattered the front glass door which triggered the fire alarm. It is pretty embarrassing to start a fire the first week moving into this condo building. I wonder if I can return the unit to Target or Kitchensmith?

This Toaster Oven did not last a year. I only used it twice a week and it lasted only 9 months.

Caution: Simple, no bells or whistles, used it almost everyday for reheating. However, after 10 months of use caught fire with leaping flames consuming entire oven. Reheating chicken breast at 350.
