It isn't often I write reviews on products that I buy online but sometimes, something comes along where you feel you are obligated ... especially when it can help others make a determination if sitting on the fence.I was a little hesitant on buying myself but figured I'd give it a shot ... especially since I bought at a decent discount on Prime Day. I received the set in a short time thanks to being a Prime member. As soon as I got them, I started testing to ensure they worked correctly. Well, one did, one didn't. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy. The one that didn't work out of the box had an issue where I could pair it up with my phone but when playing music, no sound came out. So, I contacted the seller and I kid you not, within 5 minutes I had a reply. Now that ... is great customer service! I was instructed on how to reset the V6 Plus and after doing so ... BAM ... it worked!I'm really thrilled with the sound these things produce in the helmet ... great sound! Love how the buttons are far enough apart (as opposed to others) where you are kind of blind and have to feel your way. The FM receiver picks up very nicely and I live out in the county in the mountains. Two buttons control everything on the radio ... meaning you can easily scan for another station, turn the volume up or down or ... switch off the radio ... easy peazy! Phone calls worked flawlessly after testing too. What I really like is that I can listen to SiriusXM, Pandora or my music library easily. Since I have an Android phone, navigation can be easily brought up and operated with just my voice. Installation on the helmets went quickly and you will enjoy the long battery life!I haven't had any further issues and if I do in the future ... I know how to reset them. If that doesn't work, I'm sure they will support them.I definitely would recommend this product to my family and friends in a heartbeat. Can't go wrong with it!Happy and safe riding!

Build quality - 4/5: It works reasonably OK. It has a tiny delay when waking up its audio which means that often times the first word or 2 of navigation is cut off, but since Google Maps usually says "take a left", that often means that the "take a" portion is cut off. Otherwise has been pretty reliable so far, and looks like it'll hold up to some abuse.The one thing I don't like is how doubletapping the volume + button *calls the last dialed number* - really?Sound quality - 3/5: I tried adjusting it as best I could, but you're really not getting any bass out of the included speakers. Maybe with better ones. It is plenty audible and loud no matter what though, so props for that. Mic quality is alright, certainly audible.Overall - 4/5: It should come as no surprise that at 1/4 of the price of a Sena/Cardo, there's some compromises to be made. This thing works for basic navigation, but music seems to lack all semblance of bass at least in my dual-sport helmet. Still, it does the most important job it's supposed to do, so I can't complain too much.

Update. I now own four of these headsets have given one to each of my sons we have had one failure but the company sent out a brand new headset within a few days I will definitely buy these again .This headset has been very impressive I would definitely buy again fits well in my LS2 helmet and sounds great . I have chatted with other people that have other brands headsets and they paired fine.I drove in a torrential downpour for 2 hours while listening to my favorite tunes and taking phone calls I am very impressed at how well this thing has worked through a rainstorm it is now 3 days later and it is still working fine.

Finally Fod sport has done a good job. Intercom is fast pairing. While on GPS intercom works. Very good stuff. But the distance is not that great. Also, the Fodsport has taken the option of removing the unit from the helmet for charging and I consider it is a big mistake done by the designers. My previous unit had that option and it is very convenient to charge the headset without taking the helmet to charging point.Other than that it is super fast easy and user friendly. Happy with the unit.

Review for FODSPORTS FX8 Pro Motorcycle Communication System.I really wanted this communication system to work. It was highly rated and fair priced at $170. The functionality is good. It connected well and operation works good. Unfortunately the sound level is no where adequate. High sound level is no way loud enough to hear when riding. My full face helmet insulates sound pretty good so I was surprised that high sound level was so quiet. And when sound level is set to high the speakers sound terrible. I used this on a two day ride and was very disappointed that it did not work as expected. I cannot recommend the FODSPORTS FX8 Pro Motorcycle Communication System. Wasted a lot of time and effort to install and remove, send back for refund.

Got the v6 plus quickly with free prime shipping, I didn't get the chance to install it till today. It was easy I had it installed on my helmet in about 5 minutes. I previously used the Fodsports BT-S3 which worked good at speeds below 55mph, any faster and the wind noise would drown out my music. I bought these for listening to my playlists on my phone during my daily commute. On my test ride today I noticed a large improvement on the sound quality and was able to hear my music clearly without maxing out the volume at 80mph+ on the interstate. The volume controls are better on the V6 plus also, my only wish is that they didn't share buttons with the next and previous song track function. The phone call quality is also very nice. I like the auto answer, I missed calls with my previous bluetooth because my hand was busy with the clutch and couldn't safely hit the button. The new button layout is another improvement, I can find all the buttons quickly even with gloves on. I highly recommend buying one, Once I find my wife her own bike I will purchase another V6 plus and try out the intercom features and add to my review.
