Didn't work at all. Completely ineffective. Very expensive. Received damaged. Sent photos but the company said I hadn't. Gave up in the end.

I was at my wits end and fighting a losing battle between the slugs a d trying to save my hostas. I found slug be gone and thought what have I got too lose... OMG, this is brilliant, I repotted a new hosta and used the pellets as directed several days ago, so far not a nibbled leaf in sight, to be fair I also used copper banding around the bottom as well. Seems to be a win win situation, watch this space.This is an edit to my original post, sad news the hosta did not make it, despite following the instructions and even putting the pellets around the base, the slugs even managed to get over the copper banding. After about a week I noticed leaves being destroyed and now most of the leaves have gone, Sad times....

It didn't work, the slugs just went straight over the gel and eat the plants !!!!

These are described as slug pellets, but in fact they need to be used as a solid, thick barrier around each plant, rather than scatteredThe packaging was entirely inadequate- the product simply wrapped in plastic- so the box was squashed and broken and most of them went all over the kitchen floor when I opened the package!
