Dreadful - no stars if I could
I ordered this item at the end of April. When opened after delivery found a broken wooden table slat on the small sofa .The leg on the large sofa buckled and bent. Scratches and some parts to build it missing so couldn’t be built fully even if it wasn’t damaged. I can guess that this was not sent from the factory like this and given the fact that the delivery driver could only get the larger box off the lorry with my 5ft2 , 48 year old wife’s help suggested that my item had been shoddily treated during the delivery. I contacted Furniture box and they offered a replacement which I agreed as long as they collected the damaged item on the same day that they delivered the replacement and asked to ensure that it be delivered correctly and not rely on us the customer to help. Contrary to this request and a week later like the first delivery the driver again asked for help with the larger box as he could not lift it alone . He had somehow managed to get it from the lorry which I guess accounted for the sound of a box being dropped as I went outside! . The larger box was sure enough on the floor in the road at the top of my drive . I specifically requested for this not to happen again. I am not responsible to lift a heavy box and help the delivery of my own item from the road outside my house and down my driveway. Last time it was my wife, i happened to be home from work. What if I wasn’t there ?. What if no one in the house was physically capable ? . What does the driver do ?AND despite Furniture box stating that the delivery driver would take the original damaged item away he refused saying he was not instructed to do so. He phoned his boss who confirmed that there were no instructions to collect anything. When I asked why there was again one delivery driver he said that Furniture box were only paying for a one driver delivery. They are clearly trying to save money and not setting the correct delivery for the item size. And the smaller box that was delivered was damaged . I was not accepting more potentially damaged items and I am not accepting two more huge boxes which I had no room to store . I refused the delivery and the driver took the items. I notified Furniture box immediately and then an hour later with zero notification a van turned up on my drive to collect the original damaged item. A further delivery date . THE THIRD ! was arranged . This was now three weeks since the first delivery. On the morning of the third delivery another van turned up this time to collect the original damaged item that had been collected with no notification the week before!!. I had a feeling that I wouldn’t be getting the delivery that day and sure enough after waiting in all day again , late in the afternoon I had an email from Furniture Box saying they were unable to complete the delivery. Enough was enough, pathetic, and I asked for refund which has been issued.The only thing I can say positively is that the communication was good and my messages were acted on promptly and the refund issued timely. But I would have preferred some garden furniture to be sitting on and not wasted 3 days for delivery and my time chasing . It was a complete shambles and the state of the furniture delivered originally was appalling .

Some issues with delivery to Northern Ireland, but handled exceptionally well by Customer Services
Some confusion around communication with the courier, but emails to the Furniturebox Customer Services team were answered efficiently and provided a great service.When organised with the N.I. courier, delivery was exceptionally quick and efficient. Small issue with a damaged item, but again the response and communication from Customer Services was exceptional.Furniture itself is great, very high quality, exactly as described and comes with minimal building required. Very pleased with the furniture and would highly recommend this company as they provide an excellent service.
