Useful Blade Access
For too long I’ve battled with using hacksaw blades just in my hand when trying to cut in awkward places that I can’t get a grinder into (in a car wheel well trying to cut a seized bolt, for example). While it has worked, I decided for the sake of a fiver it was worth getting this holder since it still lets me get the blade to awkward places without the pain (sometimes literally) of cutting my own hand from gripping the blade as I cut through a stubborn bolt. It’s quicker too since it gives you a better grip! Strong enough bit of kit for the types of jobs it’s called upon to tackle and the blade you get with it is handy too.

Very useful and good value tool
A junior hacksaw is a great tool for many situations but there are times when you want to cut in a very awkward to reach area, and in that case this mini-hacksaw is the perfect solution. eg I had to remove the pinch bolt on a bicycle when the threads had been stripped and I couldn't get good leverage with the usual hacksaw as the bolt was in between two metal bars, but this mini-hacksaw did the job fine! I removed one star because it is quite easy to bend the blade when cutting, and once it has been bent a few times this becomes even more common, you can reverse the blade so you have one spare I guess, but otherwise replacement blades don't seem readily available (you can just buy the normal 12 inch hacksaw blades and snap one end off down to 10 inches). However at £3.79 (as an add-on item), the tool is so cheap you may as well buy a couple in the first place!

Simple to use, handy tool, can take multiple blades, replaces a tool that #I had for years to hold blades as apad type saw.

Handle seems strong
Handle seems strong but found that if too much pressure is applied the saw blade can bend. Also check that the blade is secured with the screw and nut before using

Saving the Bacon
I was desperate to open a cupboard door which had become jammed during the fitting of a new closure. It seemed to me the only way to open was by destroying the door. I tried to cut through using a normal hacksaw blade without success. I read the reviews of the other similar products and because they were so poor decided to purchase the Stanley. It did what it said on the tin and went through the metal closure with out damage. A good product well worth the money

would reccomend
Does the job and does it well, a must for any tool box.I have another one of these based on the same design but nowhere near as solid and well made. However I think the screw holding the blade in place could come away mid use but hasn't happened to me yet.

A must-have in every houshold.
I bought it for multpurpose household use and I fell in love with it at first sight. My language is not sufficient to describe how exotic it felt when I gripped it in my hand. It is sturdy, compact, light-weight and it's handle is extremely erogonomic for effortless use. It's unique design allows cutting things at places where access is narrow and other normal hacksaws cannot reach. Other hacksaw blades available in the market can also be fitted into it if so required. In some of the earlier reviews people has commented that it is good only in cutting soft materials like PVC pipes, card-boards etc., but I managed to cut a rubber pipe with embedded steel-wire-mesh (the standard hose that connects an LPG cylinder with an oven) with this saw and the blade neither broke nor nor did it bend, although it took pretty longer time than with a standard hacksaw. I think, efficiency of a tool should be assessed not only on the basis of material-quality and design but also the technique adopted in it's use. In some situations one may need to take out the blade from the hacksaw frame and use it bare. With this one you have in one place a part of the blade as bare and the other part as framed and this saves time of use. In my view this product is excellent and a must-have in every household.

Small, but very useful hack saw
I purchased the saw with an idea of having a small hack saw to not take much space, to be used for occasional cutting bolts, screws, small metal rods. And for that the saw it amazing. Thanks to the design I could easily cut a bolt, which would otherwise inaccessible to cut because of a very narrow space around it. The material is plastic, but gives a very sturdy and good quality feel. The saw is pleasant to hold. I can recommend
