Do the draws lock to secure the tools is there a key

No keys There is a rod that slides through holes in each draw vertically downward. This stops the draws from opening when it is carried

Are the tray separate? As in could I take out the inside moulded tool part and then just put foam in its place?

Hi they are all mounded to the tray your unable to take tray out. The trays do come out but it is still mounded with that item
