CalphalonClassic Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware Kitchen Essentials Set

Bought these after trying out stainless steel! and these are a hit in my household. They are nonstick and easy to clean and haven’t tarnished or peeled like other pans do. The quality of the pan are great and are definitely worth the money.

I would highly recommend this set. I especially like the pot you can strain the water such as for pasta. The frying pan is nonstick and easy to clean.

Bought these to replace old cookware and it was a good buy. Very attractive set, easy to clean and no food sticks! The only con we have is the frying pans could be a little bigger.

I purchased the Cephalon 4-piece set in August 2024. It is now January 2025. The frying pan is peeling and internally sticking while cooking. I thought the brand would help me in my every day use while cooking for a family of 4. It did not. Poor quality. Like many items purchased from Amazon, the product looked like it set in a warehouse for several years prior to this purchase.

Years ago I bit the bullet, spent the money and got my first set of Calphalon and would recommend it to anyone as some of the best, very reasonably-priced, cookware. With this set I am adding onto the beginner set I still have. This is sort of a beginner's set as well, but I do like having extra skillets as I tend to cook my own meals and generally have more than one pan on at a time. As an example, I have been cooking up smaller batches of chicken tenderloins, shredding them and then cooking them with onions, peppers and garlic, then adding a bit of taco seasoning with water to coat all of the ingredients. Let it simmer for a few minutes on low while I begin heating up flour tortillas in a skillet. Sprinkle that first tortilla with a bit of shredded cheddar, scoop a bit of the chicken mix on top, sprinkle a bit more cheese, then top with a second tortilla. Great and easy lunch or dinner, these chicken quesadillas! But it does require two skillets at the same time and that's why I'm happy to have this set! The pot is great when I use one of the skillets to make a grilled cheese sandwich and heat up some tomato-basil soup. So it's important for me to be able to use two at a time. The big wok-style pan is wonderful too! I don't often make a stir fry, but when I do, I love having this pan as it is just the right size! Would make a great housewarming gift for new home owners or a wedding gift - for anyone who loves to cook and does not have the best cookware - get them this set!

maybe, like me, you just returned from abroad and are slowly building up a new home. maybe you're building a new home for whatever purposes on which your life aligns. and you have a couple hundred to spend on pots and pans. this introductory 6-piece Calphalon set is a solid investment for the money, with a couple newest coolest features to boot. Calphalon is one of the few solid American brands which often uses hard-anodized aluminum -- a cheaper material but nonetheless sturdy, which can be seasoned like cast iron, but with less heft, such that you effectively make a bio-friendly (polymerized oil) nonstick surface on which you can cook forever, making cleaning easier and easier with time. of course, you don't have to season the pans, but they would much appreciate the ability and would have better longevity as such. this is particularly great for the pans, of which a small saucepan, a larger frying pan, a deep dish casserole/paella pan are present -- season these to start and after use and all your worries about PTFE and halogenated carbons and plastics and general Evil will be a thing of the past. legit. we're going old skool to go new skool.caveat, though, which may not be a bad thing -- in my years abroad, i wasn't apprised of the newest coolest technology which these pans have. don't season your pans yet! this set has AquaShield, which is a BPA-free silicone coating that should be a nice surrogate for seasoning -- awesome. there's an advertised "40% longer" like-new performance for easy food release, which sounds fair; at some point the coating will wear off, and you can season as normal, but the process can be delayed for a bit.added benefits as present in older tech hard-anodized aluminum include oven tolerance up to 450 F. the set is advertised to be dishwasher-safe; however, given that AquaShield will eventually wear off with time, dishwasher use will likely accelerate the process; theoretically the coating will make hand-washing a breeze, so that should be done for a little bit. the tempered glass lids can of course go through the dishwasher without a problem. the long stainless no-burn handles are also a nice added touch.i know that there are cooks who have their favorite cookware materials for all the reasons -- the stainless steel camp, the hard anodized aluminum camp, the cast iron camp -- i'm a little of everything. happy to have them in my arsenal for a lifetime of use.

The Calphalon 6 Piece Cookware Set (ASIN: B0BV12GBST) is top end. These are the best pots and pans I have ever used. The heat transfer is rapid, meaning they heat up quickly. Not only does the food not stick to the interior, it seems as if the outside is also hydrophobic! Almost immediately after washing the water just beads up and flows off the pots. The stainless-steel handles are long, strong, and firmly riveted to the pots and pans. Nothing to loosen over time. They are rock solid. Yet they stay cool while cooking on the stove.The lids are a little heavier than expected, but well made with tempered glass. The lid’s handles stayed cool longer than expected. The straining feature of the lid worked very well. First time I have ever had that option.With the dark grey exterior this is a very attractive, professional looking set that I anticipate cooking with for years.
