Best DIY Security Solution I've Found So Far
So glad I made the switch to Tapo! Works well so far, connects fully with the rest of my TP-Link products and Google Home, and this allows me to have sirens in various locations throughout my house. I have a detached garage and needed something to alert me if garage doors were opened overnight and this works perfectly for that. I have one in my garage and one right by my bed so neighbors and myself will hear the alarm if someone's attempts to break in again. The price was definitely reasonable in my opinion and ive already mentioned how I feel about its compatibility, especially between google, tapo, and kasa. Switching to TP-Link products has allowed me to greatly increase security around my home and ive had a hard time finding smart home products that do what I need them to and integrate with my other brand products.Couple Minor Cons:- Alarm could be a little louder, Currently Need One On Each Floor. A dedicated siren would be a great item to see come out, not like this compact hub/chime.- TP-Link needs to make a smart keypad that integrates with door sensors and alarm

I needed it , it works and is really really cheap to run.
You have to have it for what it says you must have it for. I have it for the temperature monitoring the batteries are still working like new. The electric monitoring is like so cheap like almost nothing. If you are concerned about how much electricity it uses don’t. It is 0.188kwh Runtime 399.3 hours. So about 24 cents. Maybe 40 cents tops probably maximum 30 cents. I am still trying to learn how to read the electrical bill. It really cheap to run I promise. The runtime and power used are like for sure. It does what is says. This is not garbage you will use it

The Sidekick My Sensor Couldn’t Live Without
I didn’t set out to buy a smart hub with a chime. But when I got the Tapo temperature/humidity monitor for my insurance discount, I found out it won’t work alone—it needs this hub like a sidekick in a buddy movie.Setup was pretty painless: plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi through the app, and it’s ready to be the middleman between your sensors and your phone. Once it was in place, my temperature monitor started sending updates instantly, and now I can get alerts no matter where I am. The chime is surprisingly loud for its size—great if you want audible alerts, less great if you forget it’s armed and scare yourself half to death. The size is nice and compact, so it doesn’t hog outlet space. That said, you’re committing one outlet permanently to it, and it’s another device in your home that needs occasional firmware updates. Also, if you’re not using other Tapo smart devices, it feels a bit overkill—like having a full-time butler just to answer the door twice a year.In the end, it’s a necessary piece of the puzzle if you want the Tapo environmental monitor to work, and it does its job well. Just be prepared for your smart home family to grow whether you planned for it or not.

Very good
I just got the hub with the tapo door/window sensor. I'm not a tech savvy person so I did have a bit of trouble pairing the device. But once I got it set up it worked exactly as expected. The app is very easy to use. Keeps a log of when ny door was opened and shut. I set up notifications and i do get alerts on my cell phone when the door is open. I set the hub to alarm when the door is opened but you can customize when or if you want alarm to sound when your door or window is opened. I agree with the other reviews. The alarm on the hub isn't very loud. I'm using it on my attic door and the hub is plugged into my bedroom a few feet away. I'm planning on getting a sensor for my front door so not sure if I'll here the alarm on the downstairs hub very good from my bedroom. Even though im using it as a security system It really isn't a real security system. so it's good for what it is and better then nothing. I recommend it and plan on putting these on my patio door and windows to.

Perfect for adding water sensors
Super easy addition to the rest of my Tapo ecosystem. I purchased so I could add water sensors and it functions exactly as expected. Very loud! No issues with setting up in app or physical setup. I recommend placing in a hidden away outlet where you can still hear it but not see it.

Brilliant
The Tapo sub-1GHz iot system is great - great utility and great value. I now have several environmental sensors, buttons, water leak detectors and motion sensors through our two storey home and they work great. Beware that things like large metal objects (our external doors) and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interference can still affect systems like this, so be careful with your placement. However, it's so cheap to just buy another hub to solve any persistent connectivity issues that it's really not a big deal. Also, Wi-Fi, even with a great mesh system, is less reliable than sub-1GHz.My bottom line? This is a great system to invest in. Plus, it complements Tapo's other (Wi-Fi) smart devices.

Works well
I have this hub coupled to four water detectors. I have other TP Link products in use and they have not disappointed so I thought I would give these a try. The software is top notch and constantly updated. I have a high deductible homeowner's policy and installed four of the water detectors for a piece of mind. I travel a lot and felt like this was a good investment. Interestingly, one of them went off the first night as a result of a very small, occasional leak in my kitchen sink. The alarms are quite loud. Long term, that leak could have been a problem. These seem reliable and the battery life is very long. I recommend. This hub is a required part of the system.

End of Life!
You should know that you will receive v1 version which is deprecated and is replaced with a newer v1.2 version. There's nothing indicating you are buying a product which is out of support according to its support page on TP-Link website (Tapo is TP-Link's affordable smart home brand). Like with any TP-Link product it's a mystery what's the exact difference between the two, but you cannot install any firmware on them as each has its own, so being at End of Life means it probably won't be getting any support in the future which further means no software updates, possibly even if a critical issue is discovered down the road.Aside from that it works as expected, mostly. It's a bit unusual that it is a hub that supports several device types (allegedly more is coming in the future though that still hasn't happened), and yet its primary function is remote door bell. It's even configured to play a door bell chime when the button is pressed either on the device or in the Tapo app.I linked water leak detection sensors to it and expected if either is triggered it would automatically play the alarm sound on the hub, but I was completely wrong. Hub only plays the door bell, even if I don't have Tapo doorbell :)And the idea was in case my phone is silenced, out of range, battery is dead or whatever, there is always the hub which is plugged at the center of the home, so whichever sensor around the house detects the leak it will start beeping like crazy. Nope. At least not out of the box, but you can create an automation, but you have to do so for each sensor separately which is a bit of hassle, but you do it once anyway, so not a big deal. The range is decent and more than sufficient for an average home to place sensors at the farthest end and still have strong signal with no/low interference. It is disappointing though that TP-Link still didn't implement Tapo integration even though it was promised 2 years ago when TP-Link was integrated into Tapo that eventually it will also be possible to do the vice versa. I have a lot of TP-Link Kasa devices and though they are all supported in the Tapo app they don't really have full support and are not controlled the same way, so I still use the Kasa app for them. But because I also have a few Tapo devices most of which don't even exist in Kasa ecosystem I have to use Tapo app as well :(Trying to integrate them into Google Home, SmartThings or Alexa had partial success - not all can integrate and even those that do they only offer partial functionality. So aside from being able to control the most basic features like turn on/off light xyz or smart plug or whatnot, there's not much more you can do with them or it's nowhere so detailed as in the dedicated app.Another con is that device dimensions are such that even though it doesn't fully block 2 outlets it will give you trouble if you want to plug another small device like smart plug, but a regular power plug will fit just fine. Just something to be aware of.Overall, worth the price except if the device that is at the End of Life is being sold it should be clearly noted and the price should be discounted vs. full price for the new version!

Insatisfeito
Infelizmente não posso avaliar como bom, estava viajando e quando cheguei que fui colocar para funcionar, está com defeito e não posso trocar porque já passou do prazo, pior nem nota fiscal mandaram para que eu envie o produto para o fabricante.
