Brilliant product.

I bought these for my Nice (also god daughter) for Christmas. I got hugs and kisses on Christmas from her as she thought they where so just what she wanted. Chatting to her mum she used them on boxing day and new years eve to go out and just loved them. However on the 2nd Jan i got a disturbing call from my sister. She used the product as she had done before but this time as it rolled in her hair, it 'fizzed' and stopped, then hissed as the steam seemed to escape. The power light went out and they had to manually pull her hair from it. They where in full panic mode. I got them to try the socket and make sure it wasn't a fault there but the radio they plugged in worked fine. They wouldn't try it in another socket for fear of what it may do so i told them to being it to me (I am an electrical engineer).I tested it and it had indeed shorted so I called Amazon. The Customer Service representative couldn't have been more helpful. His first question was to clarify no one was hurt, genuinely. I explained the whole story, as above and without question they offered a full refund. I know things can be faulty, its just frustrating with the nature of this product that it has now put her off such a device. I joked, being balled, that I could avail of it and nothing would get tangled but it went down like a lead balloon, in bad taste.Hats off to Amazon for first class customer service and I suppose bear in mind my tale if your considering buying this product.

So so angry/disappointed! I bought this as a x-mas present for my partner, gift wrapped, personal message etc etc. We are doing Christmas today as seeing family tomorrow, partner opened today no UK plug, one of the black heat setting sliders was broken of, just don't! Save the money, save Christmas people! :-pSeller why are you waisting everyone's time and spoiling Christmas for people! Shame on you! Pluss if your selling to the UK that kinda means they need a UK plug and a box where the text is not in German!! English in case it was unclear is the spoken language in the UK (despite my pore use of it) If your unsure of anymore things try Google, just saying.
