If you are thinking of buying a BLDC ceiling fan just for the sake of convenience of a remote control, you must see this product. This remote controlled 7-speed fan regulator gives your existing regular fan quite the same remote functionality. I can mention some features here: 1. The remote sensing unit is modular and should fit in most common switch board plates. I have Siemens and Roma switches at home and this fits in both the plates. (please check product details for more info) 2. Completely hum-free. No irritating humming noise from the fan. 3. The remote controller is IR type, but it works from all corners of the room, even by reflecting off walls, which makes it quite convenient to use. 4. Speed indication is on the receiver unit by blue LEDs. These keep flashing when the fan is switched off, but can be turned off with the remote. 5. A plus point over most BLDC fans: The fan can be controlled as conveniently from the switch board with the buttons on the receiver unit. So the fan can be operated even if the remote is lost, damaged or batteries down. I find this feature very useful for my cleaning staff who don't know how to handle the remote (they want to switch off the fan for sweeping the floor, dusting etc). Remote operation remains fully active even if fan is switched off using the receiver unit. 6. Includes the function of controlling a light (on/off) in the same switch board from the remote as well as from receiver unit. 7. All setting is retained in unit's memory. So whatever is the status of the unit at the time of power failure, same gets retained upon power resumption. 8. Product quality is appreciable given the price of the unit, and it is quite easy to install yourself if you know basic electrical mains wiring techniques and required safety norms. I would definitely recommend this product.

This product arrived but it was detached from its white plastic housing ! That was a quality issue related to assembly. But product works as expected. I really liked speed variation steps because all 8 steps can be well experienced. Most important feature is about hum free operation of fan that is achieved with Triacs instead of relays.

I searched for all available options and then ordered this. Reason for choosing this is it's design, remote and price. 1. Installation is simple as ABC 2. Fits perfectly in switchboard 3. Fan doesn't make any humming noise 4. No clicking noise (like relay) when switching appliances on/off. 5. Remote range and sensitivity is excellent. Works in one click. 6. Feedback from remote as well as physical buttons is good 7. Good for this price. Economic compared to other devices while looks good. Other cheap products look like using some TV remote with 20 buttons which is not impressive in my view. 8. Remote works from any direction in my case. I don't need to point it directly to module. 9. It has backlight which makes easy to identify physical switch and turn on devices in dark situations. 10. Backlight can be turned off using remote if someone find it annoying. However, it reset every time and you need to do it again. 11. Module remember the last state of devices. In case of powercut, when the power resumes the appliances stay in the same state as we left. 12. Support from seller was excellent. All queries were answered promptly. Scope of improvements: A). Only black model is available. It will be good to have white model to match with switchboard B). Load capacity is 150watt per output, I wish it can be more for at least one output. C). Backlight should have memory. It reset every time we turn off/on devices. Remote is needed to control it. D). Not sure if spare remote will be sold additionally. In case this one is lost or stops working we'll be left with physical buttons. Didn't check with seller on this. If you are looking for such product and confused, I totally recommended this product.
