Q: Can you buy a charging cradle for this VHF as mine is faulty?

I don't know about a cradle. I chose this model as it is compatible with a 3 point plug but also more importantly a 12v (car) charger

Q: Does this charge from a usb cable - usb-c or micro etc?

It should come with a usb charging cable T9101606 USB cable - Type USB A plug to Type USB mini B plug
