Smart Solar 24350M01 Terracotta Effect Resin Pitcher Cascade Solar-On-Demand

Well, I have to be honest and say I was sceptical at first; my experience of anything solar powered is pretty miserable. But, hope springs eternal and based largely on reviews (and being on sale!) bought it. Very pleased I did. Very easy to set up and looks really smart. Made sure it was set up sunny spot next to the greenhouse and switched it "on". It happily bubbled away all day long ( just like in the photo). You have two settings, one which allows you to run it off the battery and another which allows the battery to charge, so you can then switch to the battery later in evening when sun in not so good and still have that great noise. Very calming and a lovely background tinkle in the garden. One note; water can go green over time, so I tend to run a very dilute solution of bleach through it when it gets a bit of algae in there. My one quibble (if quibble, I must), is that I feel the base could be heavier. It is balanced, but it doesn't take too much to tip it over.I have stored it over a couple of winters in the garage (I take the motor out and keep in a plastic bag in a drawer) with no problems. Quickly charges up in the sunshine and runs like new! Happy monkey.

I have two of these products already, both from the same main supplier, but different company on amazon. The third product i ordered as a gift - is nothing like the others, its a terrible red/grey which makes it look cheap and its of inferior quality - do not order this item from this company. The after service has not been a good customer service although not as described still will not cover the return cost.

I always think that a garden without a water feature is lacking something. It's the sound of running water that makes a garden so special, along with birdsong. This Pitcher Cascade sounds lovely and the solar panel can recharge the battery. The instructions that came with it are a bit confusing. In the section where it's telling us how to assemble the pitcher, it tells us how to disassemble it first! Anyhow, it doesn't take Einstein to figure it out and the leaflet makes it sound far more complicated than it actually is. The little black plastic thingy that comes in a plastic bag on its own is simply to pop onto the top of the fountain if you wish. The rest of the guide seems ok.I do like the look of the pitcher and it relatively lightweight because it's made of resin. The top of the pitcher is separate, placed on top of the water retaining bowl which is the bottom half. The first thing to do is to fill the bowl with water. Unfortunately, the top simply rests on the bottom, it doesn't lock onto it, (though, if you look, there are guides on the edges of the two parts of the pitcher itself as to alignment). So while I was faffing around trying to level the pitcher and get the water to flow correctly from the top into the little side bowls, I knocked the whole thing over spilling water onto my feet. Note to self and others: do not assemble pitcher while wearing slippers.

Easy to assemble. Works immediately it's switched on. Looks good on patio. Have placed a few stones in cups and urn to soften noise of water trickling through. Good customer service when different order arrived as our order arrived following day.

I love the look of this and it compliments my small courtyard very well. Sadly whilst its in use for more than a short period it leaks around where the 2 pieces join together when its been running a while and therefore stops because there is no water left in it.Had discarded packaging etc because when it first arrived there was virtually no sunshine or suitable weather to be outside for any length of time, although I had been able to test that it worked okay, which it did for the short periods I was able to try it. Too late to return...no packaging??

More purple colour than terracotta, but otherwise excellent. good water sound, sturdy and a decent size, and the pump works all day long and into the night too. Cheaper than the same one advertised in a catalogue. Watch that it doesn't run dry when the battery begins to run down as the water doesn't drop into the cups when the power is low - it trickles round the edges and onto the ground instead of recycling it. Very pleased with it.

I have only just received this today. So easy to assemble and started to work immediately despite it being over cast and raining. Maybe the battery comes with a little charge?Anyway, I love the look of this and it makes a lovely sound. Just what I was looking for and well worth the money if you want a warer feature thats not electric.

I bought this solar powered water feature in July 2018. It was some time before I assembled it and placed in my garden. I did not turn the feature on very much in 2018 before I packed it up ready for summer 2019. I assembled it again at the end of June 2019, but it only worked for a couple of times and then came to a standstill. The feature was never left running all day or overnight. I work fulltime so it is in use over the weekend only. I checked the filter which was clean and made sure everything was connected properly, but the feature refused to work. I know it had plenty of solar energy as they weather has been so good.I would not recommend the water feature and am very disappointed.
