I bought a baofeng UV-9R waterproof ham radio. I have several UV-5R radios. The CHIRP connection cable for the UV-5R has male prongs that plug into the radio. The UV-9R has a flat/screw in connection for the CHIRP connector wire. This connection wire I purchased and am reviewing is for the UV-9R and similar radios. It works great and has a screw in positive connection. No issues. Very happy and a reasonable price.

I used it to program my BaoFeng UV9R Pro radio. It should have a captive screw instead of having to used the screw from the waterproof cover.

I use this cord with my UV-9R and purchased one cord and I couldn't get it to work so I sent it back and reordered another thinking I received a bad cord. The second one didn't work either so I pretty much gave up. Today I downloaded the latest Chirp update and the cord worked perfectly. Not sure what the issue was but did exactly what it's supposed to.
