Easy Shoe for all
Very comfortable with a slight sole hugging characteristic, thin with plenty of feel and despite comments on durability - the construction is absolutely solid and the sole longevity is also down to the activities undertaken whilst wearing. If you mainly wear on soft trails or fine stony pathways (like the tread pattern is designed for), they will last much longer than tarmac walking I would say. Well rounded barefoot shoes, not quite as wide as other options but excellent nonetheless. Olive colour also looks great.

Way more solid than Vivo competition, very surprised
honestly after much review reading about barefoot running shoes, i took the plunge with these. I had low hopes and was blown away by their durability and solidness despite not looking the part. Yes you can see glue lines along the soles. Yes, that did make me nervous for their longevity. Can happily say that after 6 months of running in grass, on pavement, through bushes and brambles, both the fabric and seams have held up remarkably, because of course the sole did! For 80 quid, they've lasted longer than a previous pair of vivos by a long shot already. Bit thin on pavement for running so i'd keep that in mind, even after getting used to barefoot on all terrains. I keep to grass and dirt and these will last a good while yet. even a hint of water and these are wet, but tis not a bad thing, they dry just as quickly!

Love them!
These barefoot shoes provide an exceptional tactile experience. My standard size proved to be an ideal fit. The shoes exhibit remarkable grip. I have been using them for about 4 months now, and they appear to be durable, although some tread wear is evident, which is an expected consequence of regular use. If these are your first barefoot shoes, build up your usage gradually to give your feet time to adjust.

They are comfy, noisy, poor durability
Had Vapor 4. Not as wide or as comfortable but still nice. I went with the olive colour. I like it. The sole is the indoor runner type so squeaks when walking on certain surfaces. No issues with build quality (yet).Update 30/08/24 - the sole is on its way out. Pretty shocked as the sole just disappeared during a “walking” trip. Love the shoe for comfort but it’s definitely got durability issues. Will not be buying again.

Ugly shoe I bought for a friend
He ask me to do it, as he can't get it in the country he livesI would never even look at it, but he is happy as a child

Perfect for me
It's a nice barefoot shoe. Good build, it provides good feedback from the ground.

Best VG yet? 18-month update
I've run in Merrell Vapor Glove (VG) 1,3 and 4 and, for me, my feet and my priorities, it feels like these are the best yet. Early days, though, so I can't speak for their durability. The fit and feel of these is phenomenal. The combination of super-lightweight uppers, slightly wider toe box (than VG4, which was narrower than the much-loved VG3), extreme flexibility and padded tongue make them lovely to wear.Stylistically, I am far more comfortable wearing these out and about than any previous model - Merrell have evolved the look past the 'clown shoes' vibe that they used to have, IMHO.The outsole has a more aggressive tread than previous models, which is good for me as I have previously struggled uphill in the wet on the country lanes and muddy farm tracks I run on.The built-in insole means a marginally more padded ride than before. I'm fine with this, but if you prioritise ground feel above all else, if you tread on a 50p and want to know if it's heads or tails, then this might be a slight step backwards for you.Make no mistake though, this is still a hardcore zero-drop minimalist running shoe that will absolutely spank you if you transition from conventional stacked-heel shoes without investing time and effort to build foot strength and technique. Keith Bateman and Heidi Jones' Older Yet Faster programme is a great place to start.Overall, very happy so far, will update with a note about durability. Thanks to Merrell for continuing to support minimalist runners with great shoes. And shame on all the mainstream brands for abandoning this great branch of our sport in favour of pushing over-priced technology-led shoes with midsoles that collapse after a few hundred miles.Edit: Six weeks in, I've run about 60 miles on scabby tarmac and loose farm tracks, been camping, played tennis, had many kickabouts in the garden, driven hither and thither, worn them to work, worn them with and without socks. With my particular pair, I've no concerns about either manufacturing defects or accelerated wear, so it's a tick from me in the durability box.Your mileage may, quite literally, vary though.Edit: 18 months in and the upper is still in great shape, however I'm disappointed to have nearly worn through the outsole, which is definitely softer than previous models. A shame.

Not the usual quality from Merrell
I’ve had these shoes on twice, once to try on around the house and another to walk to the shops. The Merrell print on the inside has already started coming off as per the picture, and it does not bode well. These were bought due to me needing wide box flat shoes because of foot issues I have. Disappointed as I’ve had these style of shoes before and they were very robust and good for running as well as walking. Very comfy otherwise.
