Um, WOW?! More than I dared hope for!
August 13, 2023...Loud! I doubted the volume capability, but the ratings averaged 4.7 at the time, so thought I'd risk it. So happy that I did! The sound is wonderful! Clearly, it doesn't sound like a set of Bose speakers (I assume. I certainly can't afford Bose...well, anything) but the sound is nicely rich and full FOR A SMALL PLASTIC SPEAKER. Please don't expect even the sound you'd get from a half-decent pair of computer speakers, though. You have to be reasonable with your expectations; I was afraid this might be tinny and not loud enough, but it's certainly not what I'D call "tinny"! (Certainly WAAAAAAAY better than the plastic transistor radios of my youth, and don't even mention the terrible, tinny sound from the speaker in my phone!!!) This will be a great addition to the kitchen, because it not only has great sound, but now I also have a good place to sit my phone, and in a position where I can see my recipe without straining! So, so happy! Of course, I've only had it for a couple of hours so far, so, yeah, time will tell - but really, really pleased so far!It was easy to pair (look for X8 on the device list). Holds my Moto G7 Power phone vertically or horizontally with no problem. I have not tried it with my Kindle Fire 8+ yet; I can see that the arm will PROBABLY have to come all the way down to support the tablet on the front of the speaker, as the weight of the Fire is substantially more than that of the phone, but I see no problem there. When I lowered the phone on the stand to that "all the way down" position, I detected no negative change in the speaker's sound, even though "all the way down" on the arm then puts the speaker behind the device sitting on the arm. The volume on this is loud enough that it shouldn't be an issue. As far as the volume goes, this speaker does NOT have a volume control that is separate & unconnected to the phone volume control - when you use the volume buttons on this speaker, the volume control panel on the phone pops up on the screen, just as if you were controlling the volume using the PHONE'S volume control buttons. I was hoping they would be unconnected, like the volume control is on the little speakers I currently have in the kitchen. With those, the volume control on the phone itself does NOT change when I use the in-line volume wheel on the speaker jack wire. I prefer this arrangement, but as I've said, the volume on this little powerhouse speaker is loud enough that I don't miss the "separated" volume control that I have on the other little speakers.i DO want to mention the strange little issue with charging, though. When I first plug it into a USB C charging cable, the red "charging" light flashes on very briefly, then goes out. It doesn't come on & stay on unless I leave it alone for abt 15 minutes (plugged in) and then unplug & replug it in immediately. Then it charges just fine. I don't know if this is a regular thing, or if it's just an anomaly in this one speaker. Regardless, it's not that bothersome to me, so that's why I still give it a 5-star rating.I will be interested to do a side-by-side comparison of this speaker to my current kitchen speakers (Elenker or something, I believe - 2 small speakers made to act as a soundbar for a laptop, and requiring a USB plug to power them) because I have been quite pleased with the sound quality they've offered. I had to get some jack adapters to cut the static on the Elenkers as soon as I got them, because the static was horrendous; but once that was dealt with, the sound has been quite nice. Problem is, they are very cheaply wired, so now they cut out if I move the phone around at all. Seems like the headphone jack/USB power wire is loose, or somehow dodgy, where it connects inside the speaker, so I expect they'll die at some point, but they've been so wonderful to have in the kitchen. Music is a life-saver in the kitchen! If this Comiso speaker lasts, and continues to sound like it does, it will help to ensure that people continue to get fed. I realize that I kinda hate cooking. Especially prep. However, I LOVE having cooked, if it turns out well & people like it, so it works out in the end. Music really helps get me through it, and I'm pretty certain that this little speaker/stand combo will keep the music and the fairly good food a-rollin' out da kitchen, soooo....As always, will update if anything changes.DEC., 2023 update:This little speaker is still going strong. I don't use it every day, by any means, but at least with light use, it's still going strong. I was considering getting 3 or 4 more to give as little gifts, but now the price has gone up, so, no. I was fine paying $20 for it, but NOT fine paying abt $27. What a shame. These would make nice little gifts for people who want to be able to listen to music that isn't from a tinny phone speaker, or watch videos with decent sound & a place to sit the phone at a good viewing angle.Oct., 2024 -Still loving it!The one thing I would like to see added is a headphone jack, JIC you want to connect with something that doesn't have bluetooth, or you want to have a more private phone conversation when using a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack....

This speaker works well for phone calls too.
This is a simple device that works very well. My 91 year old hubby has trouble hearing on the telephone. I use this to broadcast the phone calls. He can hear them quite well. It charged easily and lasts a long time. It connected to my Bluetooth very easily. To use it, I just push the center button and it comes on and connects to my cell phone. Occasionally the button will stick in the down position and I have to fiddle with it to get it to come back up so we can hear it. I carry it around in my walker bag so it is available when I need it.

Great Purchase!
Pros:1) the sound quality far exceeded my expectations.2) I’ve used it for a good 8-9 hours so far over the last few days and the battery still has juice, although I don’t t know how much.3) it is so simple to use!!! SO EASY! I thought it would just be for my phone, but I used it to watch a show on my tablet and I was really happy with that as well! Once paired, it will connect to the last device it was paired to, but very easy to reconnect to the other device (phone to tablet).4) you can adjust the angle of the device holder.5) the top folds down so it’s easy to store and easy to pack for travel.Cons:NoneI plan to purchase a few more of these to use as gifts. Well worth it!

Nice Speaker
I purchased this when I started working from home. I anticipated using my cell phone more than normal. The speaker is great for speaker calls. It holds my phone and it is a larger IPhone 14 Pro Max. The volume has a good range and is easily turned on or off.

Small but Mighty
This maybe small but it’s a mighty Bluetooth. It has great sound to it. Very easy to connect your phone. I highly recommend.
