Finally Seen

My granddaughter loved reading this book.

I know Kelly Yang has been hurt by the book banning craze sweeping the US, but she deals with it here with sensitivity and compassion. She does what books do best, pulling the reader into the lived experiences of others. There are not so much heroes and villains here as flawed and complicated humans. If I were still a teacher, this would be one of my choices for a class read-together.Also, it made me cry!

My 10 year old daughter is a huge Kelly Wang fan! Book just arrived this afternoon and she can’t put it down - already on page 200! She loves all of Wang’s books!

Truly amazing. Kelly Yang is amazing author and this books it so amazing. It has many important lessons. I truly hope there is a second.
