Eddie Bauer Men's Cirruslite Down Jacket

I bought one of the cheap versions of these jackets, and found out that you get what you pay for. The other jacket had small rips, tears, and stuffing falling out within a couple of days of light usage. I returned it and bought this Eddie Bauer jacket and could not be happier. It’s lightweight, and can compress down to the size of a soda can for travel, but is warm enough to wear in colder weather down into near freezing temps to keep you warm. Has a hood for windy or rainy days. While it’s not completely waterproof, it does a nice job of keeping you dry in rain and the jacket itself dries quickly. Fits true to size, and is very stylish. If you’re considering saving a few bucks on a cheap brand, save yourself the hassle and buy the slightly more expensive quality brand. You’ll be happy with the value for money.

I now have three of these jackets, in different colors. Real goose down, harvested humanely. 650 fill power works well for me from 65 degrees down to around 40 degrees. When it gets colder, I slip an outer jacket over this as a base layer. The hood stays on well.Eddie Bauer means quality and I have no evidence to the contrary. It's a great value for a lightweight, but warm, down jacket.

Sharp looking jacket! Lightweight but warm! Easy to pack back up in small travel bag. Doesn't take up much room but provided the warmth I needed on a colder day. Quality construction, solid seams and good quality zipper. Washing well, needs a couple extra rounds in the dryer to fluff it back up. Great quality for the price! I know own three!

I'm honestly furious with this purchase. The jacket I received is nothing like what was advertised. It’s way thinner and not nearly as warm as promised. The listing clearly stated it had 650 fill down, but it only has 550 – that’s a big difference, and it feels like false advertising. On top of that, the sides are made of a completely different, cheap-looking fabric that doesn’t match the photos at all. This feels like a bait-and-switch. I trusted the description and feel totally ripped off. Very disappointed and won’t be buying from this seller again.

This jacket is very lightweight, easily compressible and packable in luggage, decent looking basic black, and oh so comfortable to wear. I love it. the one thing that keeps me from rating it five stars is that the outer material is fairly easily nicked. Even the tiniest knick results in the steady movement of down feathers working their way out through a pin-prick-sized puncture. As long as you don't mind a contrastingly white feather appearing out of nowhere at any time, you'll love this jacket too.

Got this jacket for my son for Christmas. He loves it. He says it keeps him warm, dry and he likes how light weight it is. I got it one on sale and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight jacket for camping, hiking, outdoor activities.

I have an older puffer jacket in a bag, which I use for travel in LATAM. I wanted something for just a bit cooler environment, this jacket fits the bill. I debated on the hood vs not, ultimately chose no hood, but I think it would be a solid choice if I spent more time in the Midwest. Solid winds in Atlanta with temps in the 30's-40's, this jacket was toasty, kept wind out completely. Collar goes a little taller than I thought I wanted, but with the breeze it locks out the wind. It does not have a pull cord to secure the bottom, but because it's a longer fit, I didn't find any breeze blowing up my back. Not sure about rain resistance, but will see, solid choice thus far.
