I bought a flat back earring for my 2nd ear piercing to keep on 24/7 since it had a habit of closing if I left it empty too long. But once the earring arrived, it wouldn't fit the piercing hole (though it would fit into my original lobe holes I've had since I was a kid). I got this item to gently stretch out the piercing hole and then lead the flat back piece through, and it worked! Such a useful tool, I recommend for anyone else who found themselves in a similar predicament.
