New One Z-Wave with Plug Energy Meter, Zwave Power Outlet, Z Wave Smart Plugs Work with SmartThings, Wink, Vera, Z-Box Hub, Home Assistant, Z-Wave Hub Required

I had to hard reset these to get them to connect to my z-wave network but now they are working well with Home Assistant.

After figuring out the somewhat unclear instructions, it paired to Zwave JS quickly and without trouble, though it did NOT work when placed inside a mylar grow tent.

I use this with an Ezlo (vera) controller. It had the easiest pairing of any of the dozens of devices I use. It had all the functionality I need.

Following the included instructions, these connected easily with my Z-wave network. They function effectively through the app, control pad, and the button on the device. The only negative is the lighting on th button is bright when the lights are off. I cut a small piece of dark window tint vinyl to cover the button. Overall I’m satisfied, but wish the button light could be turned off.

I tried to give feed back to NewOne but could not find how.I purchased several of the on-off 500 Z-wave plug units and one has failed after 25 months. Testing: The Z-wave portion seems fine but the 110 contact components failed. When manually turning the unit on, an attached 100 watt bulb will flash momentarily but not stay on. This repeats each attempted manual cycle. This unit was used very little, but was plugged into a wall outlet for a long period with no connected user. Based on price per year, I gave it a 3 star until I see how the others do.

Edited:I originally made a review stating how this product basically burnt out and caused a short circuit due to using it with an air conditioner in a short time span, but I now want to revoke that review.It turns out my air conditioner itself was to blame causing the breaker to trip, the compressor was failing inside if it.With that said, I have used this product on an air conditioner for about 5-6 months now. The air conditioner was a small 5000 btu, running at 400 watts. Granted there are surges at startup, and this plug is rated for resistive (heat loads) NOT inductive (motor loads) it handled it like a champ.Sadly I took apart my old one to see if I can see burnt circuitry and then threw my old one away. I will say the amazon seller/company contacted me about my last review to try to make it right. At that time I figured out what was wrong, and explained the whole thing like I have in this review, and they offered to send me a new plug for free considering I had bad judgement and threw my old one away.To me that is customer satisfaction, going beyond what they should have to do.

This smart switch works well with my alarm system. Setup was easy. Allot better value than what the alarm company wants per switch. Recommended.

I bought four of these and they work very well. However, as soon as I added one to my Z-wave network, it flooded the system with constant usage reports. It felt like a DDOS attack to be honest. Anyways, no big deal at all! I checked the manual and looked up all the configuration settings and set them to values that didn't cause a flood of reports.I set mine as follows:-Report change in wattage for 50watts (parameter 5 - Default is 5watts)-Report usage once a minute (parameter 6 - Default is 5 / 5minutes)-Report change in amperage for 0.5amps (parameter 7 - Default is 0.1amps)Once they were set that way, I had no issues at all and I enjoy using/having them.
