The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible is a gospel-centered, Bible storybook for toddlers and preschoolers with fifty-two Bible stories retold in a simple and compelling way. Author Jared Kennedy traces through the stories of the Old and New Testament how God keeps his promises in surprising ways better than anyone could have ever thought or imagined! Each story highlights for young children God's story of redemption through Jesus Christ and the unexpected ways that God's grace and mercy are revealed throughout the Bible. Children will hear the good news of God's love for them clearly expressed in ways that will speak to their young hearts. Each story ends with a question that Christian parents and caregivers can use to further reinforce the story. Brightly colored illustrations highlight each story and add fun teaching elements of counting, opposites, patterns, and object recognition to keep even the youngest child's attention on these important Christian teachings about God's love. Review: Great story Bible - This has been one of my current favorites for family devotional time. It has questions at the end of each story you can ask the children and talk about. It is biblically solid and suitable for children between the ages of 4-8. We’ve also gone through the biggest story Bible and that one was more suitable for above age 7. This was great for my youngest (3/4 yo)who needed something slightly more easy to read and easy to engage with. I would recommend this for all children and families seeking something to engage with their children and to teach them the Bible. Review: Our Church's go-to Pre-K Bible - There are a lot of kids Bibles on the market, but The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible has proven perfect for the little ones in our church, up through pre-K. The 52 selected stories are faithful to scripture, are not too long, do not use words that are too difficult for younger children to understand, and the illustrations capture well what is being communicated. We've based our pre-K curriculum (ages 3-5) around the stories in this Bible and give these Bibles as gifts to families of newborns. To be clear, The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible is something the newborn will grow into - it's not a book for infants. Each Sunday, we use one of the stories in our pre-K group to talk about loving God and loving others. Each story is long enough to faithfully convey Biblical content, but not so long to lose the kids' interest. If you're looking for a more approachable Bible at home or in your church, I wholeheartedly recommend The Beginner's Gospel Story Bible.

Our favorite children’s Bible!
This is our favorite children’s Bible! The stories are short enough to keep a child’s attention and the illustrations are great! Each story ends with a question you can discuss with your toddler, depending on his/her age. We also enjoy how it ties back to Jesus and the Gospel at the end of each story.

Amazing if youre looking for a shorter biblical read for children to help them grow closer with God.

Great bedtime read for my toddler.
We read this story bible to my son every night. We really enjoy the pictures as well as the simplicity. There are prompts at the end of each story which have been great and allow the book to grow with our son. We own probably close to 15 children's bibles and this one is easily my favorite.

Lots of stories - simple and well told
I was looking for something beyond the Children's Storybook Bible to cover a broader swath of the Bible, still written in "children's language" (our children are currently 6 and 4), appealing to them - bright colors, good questions/interactions at the end of each story. Each story is 4-8 pages (probably averages 2 page turns per story, it seems). The stories that are selected for the most part make sense, either that they are relateable to children, or fit into the historical narrative easily. I was a bit surprised by Jesus turning water into wine (not grape juice)! But in all a g great storybook Bible, love the stories, illustrations, questions, and manner in which the stories are told.

Perfect for my 4 yr old!
I've tried dozens of story Bibles at this point, and this is by far my favorite. It is the perfect amount of theological and interesting for my 4 year old and not to mention the illustrations are adorable!

Great theology from the start
One of the things that we haven’t loved about many children’s bibles is that they change the intent/lesson of the Bible’s stories to a very watered down version. This Bible is GREAT because it doesn’t do that. I can help my little ones learn the real meaning of the Bible from a young age.

Good pictures, good for multiple ages
I'm enjoying reading with a 4 and 7 year old. I especially like the question spot at the end of each story.

Great children’s Bible
I bought this as a gift and I have heard back from the parents a couple times of how fantastic this children’s Bible is. I was very excited before giving it as I had a chance to look through the pages and was very impressed with the artwork, the way the stories were presented and the follow up questions at the end of each story. I wish I would’ve had this when my kids were little - it is great. I highly recommend it. A great way to introduce Jesus through the entire Bible and sharing the gospel message of how he came to rescue us.

One of the best kids bibles!
This is a brilliant first bible for any kids from pre-schoolers to even 7/8 year olds. It's simple to understand, introduces great concepts concepts to chat more about, goes through the Bible so doesn't just include the 'usual' small collection of Bible stories, and each and every one points to Jesus and how He can be seen in the story/ passage. A fabulous book and a sure favourite! Pair this with the Jesus Storybook Bible- amazing!

This bible is very well written and is accompanied with bright, age appropriate illustrations
One thing I really appreciate about this children’s bible is how polished it is. The writing is age appropriate without watering down the message, which is tremendously difficult to do. At the end of each story there’s a follow up question that you can discuss with your little one and it is very open ended so it can be used with a wide age range. The illustrations can tell the story without words and the emotions are clearly shown through the various characters. The bible has 52 stories and is logically divided into two halves with the Old Testament (promises made), and the New Testament (promises kept). I was actually rather surprised with the depth of this bible and it’s heft at over 200 pages. I always look forward to bedtime and reading this bible with my 4 year old. He is able to grasp and communicate the essence of the stories so far. This is a quality bible easily worth the price. side note: the actual bible is bound very nicely and has a soft matte feel to it. It’s bigger in person than the pictures suggest which makes it a pleasure to read.
