Another Great Husqvarna Power Tool
My annual hedge trimming job involves (7) large Cedar shrubs which run along the front of my house. These are 60 year old shrubs so it takes a light touch to avoid cutting them back to bare branches and leaving greenery in-place. When I first saw the size of the trimmer box I thought, Oh X#!!@%T this thing is going to be way too big for my job. Well, the 22" bar is pretty long but, for me, it worked perfectly and, at the end of the day my trimming work was done 1 - 2 hours faster than it used to take me with my old Black and Decker, corded trimmer.Cordless is definitely the way to go with hedge trimmers now, especially if you need to work from a ladder to get to the tops. Is it heavier than a corded trimmer? Yes, but some of this extra weight is off-set by not having to drag around the extension cord. I think this model weighs-in around 7.5 Lbs. with the battery installed. That doesn't sound like much, but if you have tall hedges, plan on using a ladder. That 7.5 Lbs. starts to feet pretty heavy if you have a couple hours of trimming to do and you have to hold the trimmer above your head.Another advantage that the Husqvarna cordless trimmer gives you in comparison with a corded trimmer is the way they have balanced the weight of the battery / body with the working end of the trimmer. Makes for easy maneuvering and a precision cut.My trimming job is not big enough to put battery life to the test, although the power level showed no signs of dropping after 4 plus hours of use.I think it's a great power tool. Love this hedge trimmer
Used it for the first time this morning to trim some bushes that are about 150 feet from the nearest outlet - what a joy not to have to haul long cords around. The hedge trimmer definitely got the job done. I was a little worried when I first turned it on because it was almost laconic compared to the fury of my little 16" Black and Decker corded model, but once I started cutting it was clear that the Husqy was in a higher category - it cut smoothly and easily, leaving nice clean cuts and needing only a minimal amount of second passes to clean up. The Black and Decker tends to smash the branches a little bit as it cuts, and has a tendency to jam. The only thing that set me back a bit was the weight of the Husqy - almost twice as heavy as the Black and Decker. The weight makes pruning above shoulder level a strain - next time I'll use a ladder to work the top of the bush. The battery is amazing - I used it continuously for 45 minutes and the battery still shows a full charge.

Solid device
It works as you'd expect. Good battery, good trimmer. Requires both hands on, with a safety lever on the second handhold

Nice well made Hedge Trimmer, long battery life
I don’t have a lot of hedges to trim, corded and gas trimmers are inconvenient because I don’t have a lot of trimming and the act of filling gas or dragging out cords takes longer than the actual trimming process. I have a Husqvarna Weed Trimmer and Blower so there was no question that I was going to stay with the brand to allow me to use my existing batteries. One problem is this trimmer was delivered in 2019 with a 2016 battery, really 2016? The battery seems to be charging ok and glad I have more current batteries to use if the 2016 battery has issues. As for the operation of the trimmer I am more than happy with the results, no issues with operation and cutting ability. The Eco mode is more than enough power for my hedge trimming needs and the ability to kick up the power is perfect if I run into a more demanding hedge. Overall I like the build quality of the battery operated Husqvarna products. The blade support seems to be a much higher quality when compared to my corded trimmer, I have had to bend the blade back into position on my lower cost big box store corded trimmer a few times. I like the well made blade guard that this trimmer ships with, my big box corded trimmer costs about 1/3 rd of the Husqvarna and the build quality and robustness reflects that lower cost.

Bad Customer Service and Terrible Battery
I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to as this experience has been so flawed.I have owned this hedge trimmer for just under one year and have used it twice total, though I wanted to use it much more. The first time I used it (on the brand new battery), the unit worked very well. When I went to use it again (about one month after purchase), it was dead and the battery would not take a charge. I asked the seller for assistance and they said I was outside of their return window and to take it to a repair center for a warranty repair. The repair shop gave me a new battery and told me that the original battery was manufactured in 2017 (purchased in 2019). When i got home from the shop, I ran the trimmer through its paces. Once again, it worked well. About one month later, I tried to do some yard trimming, but the battery was dead and would not take a charge (same issue as before). My unit has now been at the repair shop for over a month while the shop struggles to deal with seemingly poor Husqvarna warranty support. Apparently, I have a lemon or there is a pervasive Husqvarna battery issue. I was planning to replace my Husqvarna 51 chainsaw with a newer Husqvarna model, but at this point I'll probably buy Stihl. Good luck to potential buyers!

Super trimmer!!
This trimmer is a machine!!!! It ate through our super over grown bushes in the front of our house. With the battery it’s heavy if you’re holding it up high for a while but still much lighter then a gas trimmer. The battery lasted through 20 bushes and two trees and still had plenty of life in it! Highly impressed!!!

Works Great - Glad I purchased
Started easily, Much quieter than the electric I use to use, Cuts well, Battery stayed charged, Dont have to wag around a cord anymore, Or worry about cutting into the cord. No gas to buy & mix or tug on a pull cord to get it started. Just used once but stayed charged through the cuttings, These reviews should be done about 3- 6 months after having the product - But hope it continues to do well, So far I like it. Great match to my mower.
