I used this for a septum ring. I just made a jump ring by bending around a mandrel, snipping the jump ring and lightly sanding the ends so they weren’t sharp. Open the jump ring, insert in ear or nose, close the jump ring and it’s good to go. Using this method, you can create jewelry for just about any healed piercing. A word of caution, I usually work with silver. When silver stress hardens, I hit it with the torch, let it get cherry red and quench it. Then the silver is dead soft until over worked again. Well,.. I made the first jump ring, then noted the wire was getting stiff due to working it. I fired up the torch, and the gold fell off the mandrel, because I melted it in half. So if you use a torch, you want to back it way off and move quickly. Otherwise this wire was a joy to work with and looks great.

I’m glad I ordered the right size. I used this wire to wrap around a pre-fossilized Great White shark tooth for a pendant. I wanted something soft that could be easy to wrap and the softest I could think of was 24k gold. Something of value should be wrapped in value. It did not snap or break and was easy to use! I hope eventually 1ft platinum wire will be listed. Thanks for such a durable product!

Nice piece of gold. I have not had it assayed, but it handled well for the piece I made.
