Got these for our very dark open air porch - think brick and dark wooden doors. These black wall lights look great but also light up the place in the darker months. They are modern in design, give out a decent amount of light and don't look as clumpy as the previous lights we had up. Would recommend.

💡 I must admit that I was reasonably impressed with these lights. There are a few subtle features that make them stand out. It is easy to claim that a light is IP65 waterproof, and IP65 does not mean that it is waterproof at all, but these lights do a decent job and should live up to their IP65 claim. The light is almost entirely made of plastic, which, while not to everyone's taste, makes them easy to maintain and corrosion resistant, albeit less durable. The black plastic shroud is simple to remove, with four clips holding it in place, but be careful to unclip all four before removing the top, or you may break them.💡 Inside are a single-piece plastic housing and the base. They are joined by four screws that need to be removed, and each screw has a small retaining washer to keep you from losing it. The joint between the housing and the base is made water-proof by a gasket that runs the full perimeter of the joint and dodges around the screws. The screws go into captive brass threads in the base, making the water proof seal more reliable. So far, so good.💡 Mounting on the wall is achieved by screws and wall plugs, if required. The wall plugs are serviceable, but I always tend to replace them anyway—that’s just me. I was worried about water ingress through the mounting holes, but the screws have their own little gromet-washers, which will help. You could always put on a dab of your own silicone sealant if you are worried, but the supplied hardware kit should work acceptably.💡 Connecting to the power supply is also simple, thanks to a spring-loaded connector. The wire threads through one of the two grommets in the back, and you then press down on the connector tabs to insert the prepared wires. The connector block has two sets of connections so that the second light can be daisy-chained off the first, with the wire exiting through the second grommet. This is all well thought out and good to see. Ensure that the wires are tucked away from the bulbs, and again, another smear of silicone around the grommets wouldn’t go amiss.💡 The product information claims an A+ rating, and the bulbs insert easily into the ceramic holder inside. I would worry about the heat build-up in the housing if you don’t use LED bulbs, as the ceramic bulb holder is supported by plastic, so definitely use LED. I think that these lights are best deployed outside, where their good water resistance will come into play, and that way you can keep the power consumption down by keeping well below the maximum rating. The product information is a little confusing because it claims a 7W maximum but also mentions an 8W maximum. Two 3W or 2W GU10 bulbs would seem to be the best choice. Nevertheless, I would recommend them. ✔️

They were easy to assemble and you can position them vertically or horizontally. The bulbs inside are easy to replace

We have it installed in our porch, it's brilliant and stylish wall light. The install is easy but need to sort The power cord. Its different from the other one we had Before, after connect to the power and GU10 light bulb, you need to cover the clear plastic cover then the black out surface cover. We have four 5W GU 10 light, it works great. There are one point is worth to mention, it doesn't come with a sensor so you will have to control.it on and off all the time.

I had decided to change my very old (over 30 years) bulk head outdoor light for something more stylish and when I saw these on Vine I thought they might be just the ticket.On opening the plain brown box I was a little deflated. Just two very simple up/down lighting lamp fittings, no bulbs and minimal instructions. The main Amazon description states 8W GU10 bulbs but it's not until you drill down into the finer detail you see that 8W max is for LED bulbs. The internal bulb fitting would take a standard 50W GU10 bulb and I think that the heat from two of these would result in the plastic of the lamp melting or deforming.The lamp design is quite attractive, tapered in the middle to give it a nice stylish shape. Both ends of the light have a clear plastic cover to protect against the elements. The fitting is rated as IP65 which should protect against against driving rain.Fitting the lamps to the wall was simple using the screws and plugs supplied and connection to a mains supply was also straightforward thanks to the connections inside the lamp and the openings in the back of the lamps.Verdict: These would be an acceptable sub £20 set of outside lights but for £35 I want more. For a start you'll pay another tenner for four LED GU10 bulbs, I think these should be in the box.I'd also want a dusk to dawn sensor and a motion detector for this price.I gave these lamps 3 stars mainly for the design but if I was paying good money for them I'd go to B&Q and get something better for less than 35 quid!!

These were quite straightforward to install and look great especially when lit up at night.They take Gu10 bulbs which I like as that means you can choose what kind of light/brightness you want as well as replace them easily when they blow.They seem like they will last a good while.
