At first I was disappointed by the look, but once it’s put together and in place it looks fine. Most importantly my cat likes to use it. I have it right up against our ottoman, where he loves to scratch. He still goes for the ottoman once in awhile, but if I redirect him, then he is happy to use the scratcher. He also uses the scratcher on his own more than he scratches on the ottoman. At first glance I thought the scratcher part would not last long, but it seems to be holding up fine.

This was a fantastic purchase. All of our cats love scratching on it, and have abandoned scratching the couch. In addition, the little ball in the track is far superior to others we’ve purchased in the past because they cannot remove the ball (thus preventing our dogs from stealing it). It was simple to put together, and it’s very stable. It doesn’t take up much floor space. I love that you can switch out the upper and lower scratch pads because the top ones get much more use than the lower ones. I’ve ordered a lot of cat scratching/activity items in the past, and this one now resides in the top two ever. We’ll see how long the scratch pads last, then we’ll add them to our subscribe and save list when we determine the needed frequency.

We have a new chair that my cat loves. She loves to scratch it and jump on an arm and have us spin her on it (it swivels 360 degrees) and just sit on it. We’re OK with all of this, except the scratching on the side. So I bought this scratching pad to put up against the chair in the hope that she would use this instead, but I was a bit skeptical. Turns out she loves this, and scratches it more than any scratchy thing we’ve ever purchased — and we’ve used lots of options. She loves to stretch out and scratch on this, and she is definitely a cat who does what she wants. It’s sturdy and just great.

When I stand this scratcher up to its intended position the scratcher moves when my cat scratches. You either have to lay it on its side, or place something heavy on the bottom of the scratcher to hold it in place. Either way, the cat will not have access to the ball toy on the bottom.

Initially I hesitated to buy this becaues of the price point but I am glad I did. My cats actually use it and my other scratchers are not being used. It is very sturdy. I like the fact that you can switch the 2 cardboard scratcher squares so when the upper one gets used more, I can switch it out for the bottom one which isn't used as much. Good design.

I have two indoor cats and one of my cats adores this! She used to scratch up my wooden cabinet but now she prefers this post instead! I'm so happy with this that I'm going to buy another for the other room! It's made well, and heavy so it doesn't tip over and the scratching post itself is made tough, so it should last longer! I would recommend and will be buying more!

Honestly, the cats seem to like the track/ ball part more than the scratcher. One of my cats is a Maine coon and although it is reasonably well built, he does not like that it wobbles if he tries to scratch on it. For a standard sized cat, this would be great. Especially younger ones. My kitten likes to jump up and perch on the top of it as well.

My cats love this scratching toy better than their scratching post. It's durable and the cats can climb on it with no problem. I think they like the angle of this toy plus it's wider than their scratching post.
