Not very heavy and not very well balanced. They will do the job, but if push came to shove, I'm sure they would fall down. Like, literally, fall down. If the intent is more decorative, then they are well stylized and appear in person as they do on the webpage

I could not love these book ends more. They are very heavy and gold books in place very well, even some rather large books. They look lovely on the bookcase and receive regularly compliments from coworkers who can see them in my Zoom background.

I really like these bookends. But because I have them on an inside shelf on a bookcase, and the back of the bookcase is dark, they didn’t show to their best advantage until I put a lighter colored backing on that particular shelf. They might show to a better advantage on a countertop or table top, where there’s no other shelf on top of it to make a shadow.

Quality is excellent!

Love these! Looked at a lot of bookends and most of the ones I loved were so overpriced. These are great looking for a pretty good price too.
