Review: Great scoby! Yummy kombucha - I am very pleased with this scoby. I've made a couple of batches now since I got it and they have turned out very well. In the past I've made my own but was impatient this time. I'm happy I did. I only make 1/2 gallon at a time and this came very well packaged with plenty of starter tea. I'm not sure of the health benefits in my case but I do love kombucha. I add fresh fruit to the 2nd ferment and get plenty of carbonation. Yum!

### ⭐ Don't order Scoby if you are in a weather area experiencing heat or cold!!

On reflection, I should not have ordered Scoby to be delivered in Minnesota in January. I immediately followed directions on the package and put it in the starter liquid. I noticed that nothing was happening after having it in a warm environment for 2 weeks. On the off chance it had just gone dormant, I left it for another week but now white mold is forming on top so I dumped the batch and the Scoby which had disintegrated to a single layer. I have brewed kombucha before so I definitely know the difference between small scoby and mold. I'm not going to ask for a refund because, as I said, I should have relied on my own common sense but either Fermentaholics or Amazon or both should note that this shouldn't be shipped to areas with extreme temperature differences.
