Street Fighter 6 (PS5)

Having not played the games for a long time. I’ve usually leaned towards MK and Tekken etc. I have to admit this game is so entertaining.I did start using the modern controls, but I seemed to be just doing the same moves, it doesn’t take much to learn the specials and then use them when needed. I think it’s a much more exciting experience using the classic controls. The combos work better and all the other cool things just work when you want them to.Like others have said the story is so nice it’s like an open world tutorial. Create your own character and watch them become a legend! It gives a backstory to each main character and plenty of side missions to keep you going. Beware of all the weirdos trying to fight you everywhere you walk! Story is interesting, cutscenes look great and just all around fun.That said I’ve been so engrossed in the story mode’ I’ve not had time to look at the rest in detail. As practically a newbie to street fighter, I’m a convert after being only a MK fanboy. Well worth the buy.

Street Fighter 5 was garbage at launch. Barely any single player content and the online didn't work for the first three or four days. Eventually, due to updates, SF5 became a good game a year or so later but it left a bitter taste in a lot of people's mouths. Capcom had to do a lot make people even want to give Street Fighter 6 a chance. The good news is that they did. Street Fighter 6 is a complete game at launch. There's 30 hours or so of single player content with World Tour mode, arcade mode is good and the online WORKS (and is solid) at launch. The graphics are a big improvement on SF5, the new characters are well thought out and the old characters are better than ever. Good game.

Game offers more than the traditional competitive 1 on 1 with fewer gimmicks than what 5 had. Story mode is actually fun where you create an avatar and roam the streets of new york and follow any fighter from the roster and use their moves as your own. Game feels like it has evolved which shows with its character designs have aged classic characters like Ryu, Ken, and Chun-li and made them look noticeably older without hindering their ability to fight. Modern controls provide the player fewer inputs to execute special moves all the much quicker and easier to balance the skill gap between hardcore veterans and newcomers to Street Fighter 6. The price as well at the time of writing is £49 which is generous for a new game as apposed to the overinflated price of over £60. Well worth trying.

After the bare-bones package that was SFV when released, SFVI is a far far superior game.It has a great mix of characters to start with, 18 in total including the "Original 8" from SFII (if you can remember playing back then) plus a whole host of new and interesting ones.There is a huge single player story that has an incredibly deep character-creator and a whole online section that allows you to either play as your created character or as one of the standard fighters.Graphics are fantastic, as is the single-player mode. Definitely a 5***** game.

Graphics are epic but have to say probably one of the hardest games to play online with friends.You’d need a PHD to figure it out. My friend, who has a PHD, had to help with setting it up for online game play.

Really enjoyed this game, popular with people I have played it with as well.

I've played mortal kombat 1 and I've played Tekken 8 but Street Fighter 6 is so much better. The online gameplay is the best, graphics are awesome and the game is a ton of fun. Also, the female characters are hot.
